  1. Review titled Amazing experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Danielle Bousquet - Posted on 11 November 2022

I had treatment at the day centre. The doctors and nurses were the most kind and friendly people I've ever encountered. Their support was the reason I got through my procedure even though I was feeling quite anxious before and I hope that this review gets seen by them! Thank you so so much for giving me such a positive experience , as much as one can being at the hospital.

  2. Review titled Absolutely brilliant

Have been attending several departments for over 2 years and they are absolutely brilliant. They really make me feel at ease and often have a few laughs along the way. The best staff, the best equipment and the best choice of procedures.

  3. Review titled Not good.

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Marilyn Hall - Posted on 15 November 2022

Not one person from the Endoscopy Department appears to know what is going on. The stress of my situation has been made even worse. I'm supposed to be having a procedure tomorrow, and after having to keep chasing them up myself a d promised letters and calls that never came, being given the totally wrong advice on what and when to eat, and then told a taxi would be sent with the laxative required - of course it hasnt - so I'm in limbo again, not knowing if it can go ahead. Very concerning, as time is the essence! I never thought I'd be treat with this kind of incompetence and uncaring. The managers of this department need to actually manage it.

  4. Review titled A credit to the NHS

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Simon Harper - Posted on 10 November 2022

I had a pacemaker fitted on Ward 27 on 18 October. All the staff were reassuring and helpful at all times. I was put at ease and everything was fully explained to me at the time. My cardiologist explained everything to me before the procedure, during the procedure and afterwards. The whole experience was a credit to the NHS and proof of why it should be properly funded.

  5. Review titled No Aftercare

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 July 2023

I had two surgerys in October 22 at the ENT Department. I was a day patient after I eventually came round after anaesthetic the consultant came round too my bed & literally ripped the padding out my nose! It was so unexpected & very painful! Then sent home, I have been due to go back for check ups & my appointment has been cancelled twice at last minute. I'm struggling still & having issues with my Ears & nose resulting in me having infections, dizziness & breathing problems I'm very disappointed & I just feel I was just another object on a conveyer belt. I've now got to wait until September for another appointment not good at all when your feeling rubbish.

  7. Review titled Ward 27, Fantastic

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Doug Giles - Posted on 30 August 2022

I have been looked after by Freeman Hospital & Ward 27 for a number of years now. I would like to offer my thanks and gratitude to you all. On this visit, Jodie was my allocated nurse, anything I say couldn’t do justice to the care and understanding, no matter how busy, she always had a kind word and time for me. My opinion is that anyone who has Jodie (and the whole team) looking after them, are in very good hands. I would also like to mention Adam who has been involved with my care for a few years. It’s great to see a familiar face when you arrive, always ready for a banter while being super efficient. Long may it continue, my complete appreciation and thanks. Doug

  9. Review titled Excellent treatment and help.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Diane Bayley - Posted on 21 August 2022

I had an appointment at the speech therapy department following a loss of my singing voice after a severe head cold. The staff were so helpful explained everything from the procedure taking place to the the results and outcome. Information and exercises were given to me and a follow up in a local speech therapy was offered. All in all an excellent experience from understanding approachable and caring staff. Thank you.
