  2. Review titled Great experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sue Smith - Posted on 19 January 2024

Both my parents have been seen in A E C U during the last 12 months. On each occasion they could not have asked for better treatment. Everyone in the department has been courteous and kind despite the busy workload. The department was clean and friendly and they were treated with respect and dignity. Neither of them have had reason to attend hospital regularly and are in advanced years yet their experience could not have been better. Thank you.

  3. Review titled No answer

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 15 January 2024

I was trying to find out what had happened to a Consultants referral to the spinal surgical team after a wait of 22 weeks. After being on hold, listening to lots of options I eventually ( I think) got through to the correct department only to be cut off after a 15 minute wait. No mesage at all - just the dial tone - during that peiod. How do I get an answer? My symptoms are increasing in severity all the time.

My girlfriend was referred to Frimley Park by her doctor...they Lost bloods, which had to be re-taken several hours later. The gynie dept couldn't find her in A&E as she had been moved... 8.5hrs and still waiting....complete nonsense and lack of professionalism.

  5. Review titled Falta de ética

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Sandra - Posted on 04 March 2024

pediatric emergency nurses are inhumane! The two times I went, one with my daughter with a fever of 39.6 and the other with my baby with a fever of 39.4. On those two occasions they were insensitive, unresponsive and unethical. They saw my daughter with a high fever and they didn't give her anything, I had to measure her fever and give her ibuprofen and paracetamol, put cold compresses on her and take care of her until her fever went down. My baby's case was exactly the same. I had to tell the nurse and she was just walking around, smiling, eating potatoes. Another nurse took the urine patch off my baby so hard that it left his testicles red and made him scream in pain. They took two drops urine tests on my son and with that they told me a result! . Really, that area to be childish is very intractable and inhumane. I hope you don't have to go to that place! Because if you are going to go you will have to take care of your children alone (with your thermometer, your medicines and manage alone for many hours until the doctor shows up) and who knows whose results they will give you.

  6. Review titled Compassion for an elderly agitated patient

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Christopher Mackie - Posted on 08 December 2023

I was staying in f6 bay c on the night of the 6th of Dec. During the night there was an agitated and confused elderly gentleman who was waking every hour requiring staff intervention. Other patients showed significant frustration at being woken by him. What stuck me was the compassion shown each time by the staff which at times required up to 3 to intervene. They showed the patient respect and empathy, without showing their own frustrations'. Each staff member took the time to introduce themselves and to explain what they needed the patient to do and why, often having to repat the instructions multiple times using different language. The hospital was I believe at maximum capacity and near breaking point which made the staff's treatment even more impressive. Having seen my own elderly father in the same situation at Slough back in February not receiving such great care, Frimley's staff's treatment of a patient in the same situation was exemplary.

  7. Review titled Arterial Nose Bleed Fixed and Quickly

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Graeme Gourlay - Posted on 21 December 2023

This was an outstanding experience. I had an unexpected arterial nose bleed that was quite extreme at 9:30pm in the evening. The whole process of getting it fixed was incredibly good. Booked in quickly, first pass triage in 10 minutes and 30 minutes later an ENT specialist gets to work fixing it and knows exactly what to do and every staff member was pleasant and professional.

  10. Review titled Terrible disabled parking problems

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 29 November 2023

For disabled parking when you eventually manage to find a car space (25 minutes wasted) and then find a ticket machine youre only then told to go back to your car and get your blue badge and then go all the way to the front kiosk to show your badge. Having gone back to the car and got the blue badge and then off to the front kiosk it was closed anyway. Terrible set up to a- not inform disabled people they need to attend the kiosk with their badge before they get to the ticket machine and then b- request disabled people walk all the way to the kiosk and back with their badge. must be a better system.
