  1. Review titled Extremely long hours of waiting

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Sue - Posted on 18 October 2023

Came to A&E with abdominal pain around 10.30pm. Somebody took my blood sample and blood pressure straight away.Next time I was seen at 4.00am by a practitioner who then decided to take my urine sample. Still waiting with pain at 6.00 am. Wondering when actually somebody will be able to help.

  2. Review titled Fantastic support Pediatrics A&E during strike

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mariska - Posted on 07 October 2023

My son and I had a visit at the pediatrics a&e on 5th of October after he had a seizure at school. It was extremely busy and I think the staff was quite overwhelmed but they were absolutely brilliant. Our best experience with an a&e in the uk! Our nurse was extremely thorough, quick and provided us with constant updates and was really reassuring. Same experience with the doctor. I do not know how they managed it all because it was insanely busy but it was incredibly well managed. Also the décor in the a&e really helped calm my son, he did not find it scary at all and actually thought it was the best place ever. Extremely impressed with our experience!

  3. Review titled Outstanding paediatric care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I cannot speak highly enough of the team in the Children's Emergency Department. During a recent trip with my 3 year old, who was experiencing some complications with chicken pox, each and every staff member that we encountered was outstanding. We were seen within minutes, reassured and given a bubble machine to keep us entertained while we waited for the doctor! Their warmth, patience and humour was much appreciated.

  4. Review titled Some shortcomings worth consideration

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Janet Coulson - Posted on 10 October 2023

Dad was admitted and found to have had a mini stroke. Placed on g3 where he stayed for 6 days. Couple of issues.. he had meals given to him that he clearly hadnt been consulted about. Given mushroom soup (hated mushrooms) loved fruit crumble and custard which was on the menu and yet he was given sliced apple and grapes. He had dementia so my guess was that they werent fully asking him and giving him enough time to process a correct response. Once we realised these issues, we ordered the food for him. We arrived a couple of times to find an untouched tray of food in front of him. Sadly my father was blind and no-one had bothered to assist with his eating. We then visited Dad to co-incide with meal times! Dad was discharged after 6 days and managed to last a further 3 days before being re-admitted by caring and compassionate ambulance staff where he was placed on ward f10 for end of life care. Sadly he passed away after just 3 days. I know these are only small issues but hopefully by reviewing our experiences, this usually well thought of hospital can make improvements that will help both patient and families hoping their loved one will be well loved after.

Rapid Response Had to make a visit to the A&E department late on Saturday 16/9/23 with sudden chest pain. Once registered, the Triage nurse took my BP, Bloods and ECG. When the blood results returned I was seen by the Doctor who explained that one of the blood tests was showing a high reading which indicated that I may have had an emboli. He commenced blood thinners injection and admitted me The follow day a CT Scan confirmed his diagnosis that I had pulmonary emboli in both lungs. I was put on blood thinners medication and discharged on 19/09/23. My treatment by the medical team was excellent I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all (Doctors & Nurses)

  6. Review titled A five star eye clinic

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anita M Wright - Posted on 09 August 2023

I have only had very good positive experiences with the Eye clinic. I had a problem with my eye getting blurry and was referred by Specsavers last Saturday and got an appointment following Tuesday. I know how very busy they are and was very grateful to get an appointment so quick as ever all the staff were very efficient, polite and helpful.

Attended the plastics department on the 10th of August 2023, of course, you feel apprehensive, however the staff were very reassuring and soon put me at ease. I left a lot happier than when I arrived. Thank you all.

  8. Review titled Wonderful care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 27 September 2023

I recently had a c-section at Frimley Park and was extremely worried and nervous about it never having had surgery or anaesthetic before! The whole team made me feel so at ease and relaxed which made the experience amazing! Don't get me wrong- recovery was really hard and by no means an 'easy way out' but I'm really thankful for the doctor recommending a c-section and for the team for making me so comfortable in a particularly uncomfortable and scary time.

  9. Review titled Colonoscopy

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Lynn Shaw - Posted on 09 August 2023

Overall everything went well, but did have some issues. 1. I am only short and found it difficult to get onto the trolley which was set to the lowest setting but still too high for me, more particularly after the procedure it was very painful getting off! 2. During my procedure a water pump broke, which was disconcerting and not really explained to me what was going on. 3. Finally, the process was painful throughout, so would have been nice to have the option for more pain relief. I hope these points can be addressed with improvements in patient care procedures and training, but again want to say overall the staff were excellent and very caring.
