twice now in past 8 days iv been unable to park in a disabled bay im a blue badge owner but i noticed some cars are parked in the disabled bays with no blue badges and have a have a blue warning sticker on warning them .im not a fan of parking tickets but they should put a 10/20 pounds ticket on them its not just the disabled bays they park anywere they like to avoid paying the car park fees twice out of 4 visits iv ad to park in main car park then go to ticket office to get it passed al because these people you must put 100s of these blue warning tickets each day they cost money and same people are parking cause nothing is being done about it .im not saying hit them with a 35 pound fine but hit them with a 10/20 fine they think twice about parking there again ,i go to heartlands sometimes and theres parking fines there ,your paying someone to walk around al day checking and putting these warning signs on both cost money so fine them specialy parking in a well signed dissabled bay with no blue badge on show saves likes of me haveing to park in main car park with a 5/7 minute walk to a ward wen theres parking bays 1/200 yds away

  2. Review titled High level of care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 August 2023

High level of care and compassions from midwives, explained the processes and made sure I understood what treatment is being offered. Especially supportive wotj breast feeding and respecting decision to decline examination. Only area of improvement was lack of knowledge/interest about impact on birth options for Mum with chronic Gynaecological illness and the need to consider varying care on this basis rather than taking 1 size fits all approach. Further more support in the 24 hrs after c section as it is assumed that new mums can change/feed baby when they've had major surgery.

left waiting over 9 hours laying flat with my head supported with blocks and tape. Not been reviewed nor attended by any member of staff for a long period. Not even asked or allowed for any basic human rights needs i.e toilet use or drink or food No one seemed to know what was going on

  4. Review titled Very poor communication

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have received some terrible news and require an urgent procedure. However, can I get to talk to someone - no! Good Hope not only do not answer their telephone but also do not reply to your voicemail! Absolutely shocking and wholly unacceptable … patients are distressed and need to talk to someone for reassurance! Why are you not answering or responding to calls?!?!

I had fallen - 8 weeks post hip replacement & I’d phoned the community post op team at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital,(ROH), who were fabulous and recommended that I should attend an A&E - To check for dislocation or dislodging which could cause infection. Good Hope is my nearest. My Dr was abrupt, unsympathetic and unable to show empathy. She did not fill me with any confidence or reassure me. When I explain what had been recommended, she examined me. She said, ‘What do you want me to do there is no real need for an X-ray. But if you want one we can do one.’ She repeated this twice. I said, ‘ well ok you are the clinician.’ She then turned away to the computer, shrugged whilst ordering an X-ray on the computer and said’ that it won’t show anything as your hip is not dislocated.’ I was then sent to radiology. Staff there were lovely. I returned to the department in A&E and was called into the corridor whereupon the Dr said my X-ray was ‘fine and that I had soft tissue injury.’ I asked to see the X-ray and she took me into the office. I asked if the X-ray could me compared to my 6 week X-ray from ROH. She said that they ( ROH ) could request to see this one if they wanted. I suggested that she could request the original to compare but she told me she could not do this. I felt very upset and shaken following the fall and am still scared I may have damaged the surgery in some way. I will speak with the team at ROH again for further reassurance.

  7. Review titled My son now has the perfect smile.

by Amanda Four Oaks - Posted on 31 August 2023

My son has recently had fixed braces to re-align his teeth and make space for a Bridge. He had regular appointments over 3 years with only 1 cancellation, which was during the Corona virus lockdown. All the staff (receptionist, orthodontists and consultant) were very friendly, putting my son at complete ease. They explained exactly what was going to happen next and took their time to ensure that the end result was perfect. My son now has the perfect smile.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Susan Chadwick - Posted on 23 July 2023

I went to A&E with a temperature and shaking symptoms, was quickly assessed and sent to Majors, where it was established through tests/questions that I had a serious water infection. The doctor and nurse who looked after me were very kind and caring. I was treated and discharged 6 hours later after excellent care and a reassuring experience. My grateful thanks to all concerned in my care that night.
