Excellent care from the friendly receptionist to the well organised nurse led team that put a scaredy cat at ease. The full procedures explained and my comfort constantly checked on from beginning to end. I can’t praise them enough

I was accompanying my sister to an Endocrinology appointment and we also had to go to the Pharmacy. Every member of staff who we encountered - approx six - reception and medical - were so helpful and kind. I know it should not be a surprise but it was particularly noticeable and we want to remark on it and thank everyone.

I would like to thank the nurses and staff at the urgent care. I dislocated my shoulder after a bad fall over an icy bridge. I was attended quickly and had an X-ray done to ensure the diagnosis. The nurse in charge was excellent and friendly. Even tho I was in agony, she made me feel at ease. I was discharged within 1.5 hrs. Thank you NHS.

Attended UTC on an exceptionally busy day, but still found all staff courteous, helpful and professional. Thank you all for the care and treatment provided, which was much appreciated.

Check in was quick and despite me not having a voice the receptionist gave me pen and paper to write down my name and details! I was seen by triage within minutes of arriving. Kind, caring and professional. I was told the triage nurse had been called from Watford because they were short staffed but my symptoms were analysed quickly and I didn’t feel rushed. I was only sitting in the waiting room a few mins before a doctor called me and again I was taken care of with compassion and concern. I am so grateful for this service and want to thank all the staff from check in, triage and the doctor. You do a fantastic job.

Sitting here with my 5 month old sick baby, 7 hours later have still not been seen we are still sitting here. I can’t even describe how appalling this experience has been. It’s not ok to keep babies waiting this long, the lady in front of us had been referred to Watford general after waiting 7 hours! I’m appalled on her behalf also! With only 1 Dr!!!! I imagine those with the deep pockets in this trust are not using it to keep this centre staffed adequately. Management should have had the sense to call and use a locum dr service to clear this 7 hour wait. It is dangerous

Reception staff saw me immediately and took my details without fuss. Triage nurse / doctor was kind and professional making me feel welcome and kept me up to date on waiting times. The nurse / doctor who saw me was also very kind, professional and had a good attention to detail. She phoned over to the eye hospital to clarify treatment and after care and made me feel cared for and listened to.

I arrived at the Urgent Care centre in Hemel Hempstead at 10am on Sunday 23rd October, the reception staff were very welcoming and the triage nurse also. Special mention to the on duty nurse who dealt with my knee injury, who explored the injury, explained what was wrong, recommended treatment and exercises, with efficiency and kindness. I returned home in a much better frame of mind. Thank-you

Today I visited Hemel Hospital endoscopy dept for a gastroscopy examination. I was extremely nervous, not only about the procedure but also what they may find. All the staff I came into contact with were amazing. They took time to listen to my concerns, answered all my questions and were extremely reassuring. They were happy for me to choose the sedation option which helped make the whole procedure much more comfortable. I don’t usually write reviews but felt the service I received was outstanding and although my nearest hospital is Watford, I will request Hemel if ever I need any further tests. 5*
