Review titled Awful Childrens A&E
by Sadiya Motorwala - Posted on 07 December 2024
Took my 3 month old in Children’s A&E for difficult breathing and chesty congestion. A&E was full with sick children and the wait time was 5.5 to 6 hours. My son was more distressed in the A&E due to kids laughing and crying all around and wait times so long. No doctor present to see the kids and the nurse kept saying this is normal and even after her asking for a doctor her voice is unheard. My son when checked by the doctor who was just standing around when he came sent him home saying just monitor him. We had to come back again the next day where he was admitted and was almost out on ventilator. This could have been prevented if on the first visit we are seen and admitted appropriately. What sort of A&E cannot handle 10-15 kids with a cold and fever. Just standing around and distressing the kids is ridiculous

Review titled Wonderful hip replacement surgery
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Linda Burman - Posted on 09 January 2025
Following a “pin and plate” surgery on the island of Curacao in the Caribbean, for some reason the surgery failed. I was taken into Hillingdon Hospital on Boxing Day 2024, where the wonderful Orthopaedic team performed a full hip replacement surgery on me on 31/12/24. The delay between my hospital admission and the surgery was because of a problem with my blood. This hospital receives a lot of bad press, but I can say that the anaesthetists, surgery team, nurses etc were absolutely wonderful. I truly thank them for helping me at what was the worst time of my life. Thank you to all who cared for me, particularly the Orthopaedic team.

Review titled Kind and Conscientious Doctor
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Vinesh Sharma - Posted on 22 November 2024
We visited Paediatric A&E for my 12 year old son with concerns about his heart rate. We saw how busy the team were and they showed immense kindness despite the challenges and busyness they were facing. I was struck however by doctor's kindness when treating my son - he was so conscientious, spoke to him with respect and immeasurable kindness. Even asked him about his ambitions and interests - Thank you so much Dr C.

Review titled Expect to wait at least 7 hours
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 12 October 2024
Bought in by ambulance with chest pains, numbnesss & high blood pressure. Initial examination ecg & bp taken & was told would need to be redone in 30 mins due to reading. Next check was 5 hours later, but only bp no ecg. Now been advised it’s at least another 2 hours before I see a doctor. What on earth has happened to the NHS & this hospital.

Review titled Worst maternity section
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 10 September 2024
The worst hospital ever . Consultants use scare tactics to worry patients who have had a miscarriage and already in a distressed state of mind and end up listening to the consultant rather than doing what is the best interest of themselves, This is the second time my daughter almost risked her life due to the total incompetence of the maternity section consultants . She had to virtually beg them to do a D n c after been there for two days and the staff just pumping medication into her without a scan . She went through utter trauma and finally it was done on Sunday after she begged them to do it . This should have been done in the first instance without making her suffer the trauma she went through. She was discharged finally after a scan was done on Monday afternoon and had to wait 5 hours for the antibiotics that was prescribed. Finally they had to issue the medication from the ward at 7 pm rather than the pharmacy. This hospital is worst than a third world country where things move much faster . Totally disappointed and dissatisfied with this hospital.

Review titled Fantastic staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Peter Humphries - Posted on 18 September 2024
I would like to thank all the staff in A&E who sorted out my dislocated shoulder. All staff were very polite, waiting and treatment time from start to finish was 3 hours and In that time I had seen the AE nurse within 10 minutes, had two lots of X-rays, treated by doctors and nurses for my dislocated shoulder. All staff were very kind and showed compassion which put myself at ease. The A@E was very clean and speed of service was fantastic. Thank you NHS and the Hillingdon Hospital, you’re great.

Review titled Well looked after
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Devon Graham - Posted on 14 July 2024
Surprised how excellent I was treated. I arrived in terrible pain and was promptly looked after. Had good dialogue with the doctors/Surgeons and was very impressed with the diligence of the nurses. Was amazed at the choice of breakfast and lunch. Took a while to be discharged but was fed and watered and listened to calm music before picking up my medication to bring home. I nearly paid when checking out forgetting I was in a hospital not a hotel

I came to A&E yesterday. The DR (I’m not sure why I’m able to leave his full name in the review ) was a brilliant doctor. Please tell him I’m very grateful for his help and wish him the best in his future endeavors.

Absolutely amazing service from the Renal secretary (L-I-S-A). Extremely helpful, reassuring and helps patients and families ensure a seamless process on prescriptions, appointments and any follow ups. Asset to the team- wish all were as helpful.
