  1. Review titled Well looked after

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Devon Graham - Posted on 14 July 2024

Surprised how excellent I was treated. I arrived in terrible pain and was promptly looked after. Had good dialogue with the doctors/Surgeons and was very impressed with the diligence of the nurses. Was amazed at the choice of breakfast and lunch. Took a while to be discharged but was fed and watered and listened to calm music before picking up my medication to bring home. I nearly paid when checking out forgetting I was in a hospital not a hotel

I came to A&E yesterday. The DR (I’m not sure why I’m able to leave his full name in the review ) was a brilliant doctor. Please tell him I’m very grateful for his help and wish him the best in his future endeavors.

Absolutely amazing service from the Renal secretary (L-I-S-A). Extremely helpful, reassuring and helps patients and families ensure a seamless process on prescriptions, appointments and any follow ups. Asset to the team- wish all were as helpful.

  4. Review titled Phlebotomy dept are horrendous

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 14 June 2024

I was attending the clinic with a walk in patient. In the first 30 mins of waiting the 2 phlebotomists on duty only took 2 blood tests it total. One of the phlebotomists was on the phone in her clinic for 20 mins of that time, while patients were walking out because the wait was too long. There were no appointment patients in that day for the time I was there. I did book an appointment the week before but no availability online until 2 weeks later and the appointments seem to be only 10 mins apart so I would imagine 2 phlebotomist would have delivered more than 2 tests in 20 mins

I bought my wife in to A@E yesterday after a fall , the service professionalism and friendliness of all the staff was amazing , we arrived at around 1120 and my wife was with a nurse within 10 minutes, she was in a lot of pain , and they dealt with her sympathetically and professionally , we left the hospital in just under thee hours , bloods taken , X-rayed (3 times ) to be absolutely positive it had been set perfectly) cast on and checked over , and then checked out , I and my wife would like to give the staff a big thank you !!! You were all amazing !!!!!!!

  6. Review titled Friendly & Welcoming Staff - Promptly Seen

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by THERESE BALADHARAN - Posted on 04 June 2024

My mum visited the MRI department located at Hillingdon. The receptionist was friendly & welcoming and both radiographers who conducted the scan were helpful & kind to my mum. Thank you all for being a wonderful team - it made mum feel so at ease (though she was nervous).

  7. Review titled Outpatient Service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

My Father In Law went into this hospital in January 2024. One of the issues has led to him losing his sight in his left eye. On coming home he has a six month referal for any further issues relating to his eye sight. Some issues have occurred so a referral was made via my GP for him to be seen. Two letters were recieved in March, One stating that he had cancelled an appointment and the second giving him a second date. This letter had a warning that if he failed to attend this appointment he would be referred back to the GP. I recieved a phone call to make sure he was ready two hours before his appointment for transport services to pick him up. On that day transport failed to turn up so he missed the appointment. I have called the department on 01895 238282 several times and get the same answer machine message stating the department is overworked with fewer staff and as such call back later. Not acceptable in my opinion. In any event my GP helped and made a referal again and we were given an appointment a week later with transport as he is disabled and finds walking any distance very difficult. I have this morning recieved a phone call from this department stating that his appointment is cancelled as they have no doctors on duty able to see him. An alternative appointment was offered on a weekend when there is no transport. I have stated he needs transport to which I have been told there is no one available to see my father in law during the week when there is transport. No further date has been given and I have been told an email will be sent stating my Father In Law can not attend. To me this seems to be a very badly run department. It is my experience that the phones are not answered and appointments are not met due to staffing issues and a badly run diary. Terrible service and my father in law is still in discomfort a month down the road. My suggestion would be to contact clients with a solution rather than offer none.

  8. Review titled Worse experience ever

I have been left to wait for 9h just to be told that the specialists I am waiting are bank holiday and to come back tomorrow, filing extremely unwell and dizzy, 9h I have been left on a chair as they haven't got enough beds... passing out and begging to be put somewhere , because I can't sit there any more. They don't treat you as a human being attol.

  10. Review titled Great service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Alex Bonell - Posted on 03 April 2024

Recently attended the a&e here after getting some cement/grout in my eye on a project at hs2. The staff that dealt with me were lovely, I was seen really quickly (I know this will depend on the day) but in my case it was very quick. I was very nervous getting my eye looked at because up until now I've generally had someone with me at the hospital, however the nurse I saw calmed me down and kept me talking as she washed my eye out which helped a lot!! She was very reassuring and made sure I knew what the next steps where with referring me onto the eye hospital for the next day I'm very grateful to all the staff when I attended and the help I got from the nurse, it was very much welcomed after a day of a sore eye. :)
