Review titled Phonecall operator cuts you
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 20 December 2024
When calling the hospital & requesting the phonecall operator, the line immediately cuts. Recalling the operator, the line reached the operator, but immediately when mentioning I have an appointment, the operator cut me. Calling a third time, I had to tell the operator first that the operator keeps cutting me, I was able to state my question (which had nothing to do with cancelling or changing or information about my appointment). I was calling to ask if there was a cafe at the hospital, because I was going to arrive very early for an appointment.

Review titled Great neurophysiology experience EEG
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 22 November 2024
Accompanied my daughter for EEG test. The neurophysiologist who did the EEG was wonderful, made sure the patient is comfortable, explained each step on the way, checked our undestanding and listened to our concerns. She is passionate about her work and is great in developing rapport with patients. A big asset to the department.

Review titled We do have a good NHS
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 25 October 2024
I would like to thank everyone from the ambulance team to all the people involved at Hull a Royal Infirmary A&E I was as is often the case very anxious but was reassured throughout with both humour and an explanation of everything they were doing, I had a good outcome. We are surrounded with so much that is negative, everyday, but we all are need to remember the excellent service our NHS provides, especially in an emergency - Thank you

Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Iulia - Posted on 13 September 2024
had my first ever surgery and on arrival i was very nervous and anxious and i was crying non stop. the nurses and staff on ward 30 were extremely helpful, supportive and friendly the entire time. they made sure i felt comfortable and knew i was in great hands every moment of the day: from talking to the anaesthetist to falling asleep on the operating table, i felt safe. i just want to say a massive thank you to every single person that has managed to turn this scary experience into something i now look at and smile.

I had experienced a suspected TIA and I was referred for tests by my doctor. The next morning I was contacted by the stroke unit and all tests were organised within 20 minutes of the call.I was able to go straight in and had a ct scan mri scan ecg and bloods.I am so very impressed with the service I received by the professional staff at hri.

Review titled A caring and efficient service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 16 August 2024
I took my husband to A and E having sought advice from NHS 111 and my GP Practice on 15th August in the late afternoon. We arrived at a packed A and E (40 plus people) but they had been briefed about his arrival in advance and he saw a doctor very quickly and they started treatment as soon as possible. All the staff we met were very caring and the service itself was very efficient in spite of the volume. He was given a bed in a cubicle and then admitted onto a ward over night. I'm very grateful to everyone for their caring attitude and professionalism.

Review titled Uncaring
Rated 1 star out of 5

I went for an appointment and then got diagnosed with severe incontinence.after test the consultant gave my four options and no explanation of the procedures.they just told me to choose which treatment I would like there and then with not knowing anything about them I felt like they just wanted me in and straight out. After been in waiting list a while I finally got an appointment for my procedure but they had to cancel as they had not referred me to see anaesthetic doctor first. They then sent me another appointment and again cancelled because they did not refer my to an anaesthesia first so twice been cancelled and still on waiting list. I’m also a type 1 dietbetic and they gave me no information on what I should do when I can’t eat or drink after midnight and didn’t need to be on the ward untill 11.30 so that 12 hours with no food so my sugars could drop dramatically. There was just no patient care whatsoever and no information about anything that was going to happen with the procedure and after care.
