Review titled Exceptional care provided by amazing staff!
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 19 March 2025
I had chest and back pain and called my GP to make an appointment, they advised me to go to A&E. After checking in I was given an ECG and had several samples of blood taken. All the staff were amazing, really professional and so friendly, I was made to feel at ease by every one of them. At one point there were 74 patients waiting to be treated, the atmosphere was calm and all the staff were so helpful. My bloods were clear and the ECG was fine and after a check up from a doctor I was told the problem was muscular and that he was happy for me to go home. From start to finish the process took just under 2.5 half hours. Absolutely amazing! The NHS and those that work within it are the very best there is. My thanks to everyone at this excellent A&E department.

Review titled Exceptional care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Daniel Smith - Posted on 20 February 2025
I visited endoscopy Wednesday for a colonoscopy, to start with the reception staff and supporting nursing staff were kind understanding and also professional making me feel at ease. When I went in for the procedure the staff were friendly and gave me a warm greeting, and explained what was involved and assured me every step of the way. The team was exceptional with their professionalism and care and constantly asked me if I was feeling OK.They made the whole procedure far more tolerable and I left feeling much more at ease. Back on the ward I was checked over and given tea and biscuits before being allowed to get dressed. Before I was discharged I was briefed about the findings and left feeling relatively at ease. I felt comfortable and at ease during the whole process due to the kindness and professionalism of all the staff involved, I would not hesitate to recommend the Jph for this procedure.

I attend the glaucoma clinic and recently had an appointment for an eye lasering procedure. Every time I attend the eye clinic all the staff are exemplary in the care and attention they deliver. We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful ophthalmology department in our hospital.

by Keith Colborn - Posted on 04 October 2024
From the moment I arrived at A&E I was seen quickly in triage and immediatly called into see the team. They actioned my transfer to the stroke ward immediate. Once on the ward they diagnosed and treated me and gave me complete confidence. The care has been second to none, every member of the team has done a great job and everyone I encountered on the ward was cheerful, kind and immensely hard working. I've discovered a new respect for all those who work at the hospital and especially those who treated me. Many thanks to everyone and I hope you never need put up with me again, cheers!

Review titled NHS at its finest
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Chris B - Posted on 10 October 2024
Referred by an optician my partner was worried about something serious. So amazed to get a call within a couple of days and straight in for a very comprehensive check. All was found to be ok but the doctor wanted further checks in another department and immediately arranged this for the following day. Fantastic service from friendly caring staff. Thank you

Review titled Impossible to get through to departments on the phone
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by C Davies - Posted on 08 August 2024
I phoned the switchboard multiple times to inquire about a very unwell friend...They have now set up their switchboard telephone system so it rings for 1 minute then if unanswered it cuts off...If you are lucky enough to get through the switchboard and they put you through the ward phone is not answered and the switchboard ask you to ring back and the process starts all over again
