  1. Review titled Midwife with trailer injury!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Retired Midwife trailer injury - Posted on 15 July 2022

I was helped initially by a female volunteer who walked me through to A&E with my fractured wrist. I was assessed promptly and transferred to Miami where I was seen by a kind, professional and highly competent Nurse Practitioner who provided personal care throughout examination, X-ray and application of a cast. I was treated with dignity throughout my visit. Everybody from reception, X-ray dept and Minor Injuries were so kind and caring as I was in obvious pain. The whole process was completed in under 4 hours and I couldn't have received better care, thank you everyone.

  2. Review titled minor/major illness unit

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Joyce - Posted on 18 July 2022

I would like to thank all the NHS team from booking in at A and E to receiving care at the Minor/Major unit. The care and professionalism of all the NHS staff was more than outstanding. These staff need praise and recognition from the Government for the dedication and commitment they practice.

  3. Review titled Long wait for test results

    by ospreych65 - Posted on 26 October 2022

I attended the appointment over 3 months ago. I was told the results would be sent to my doctor but am still waiting. My doctor stated they cannot do anything until they get the results so we are stuck as Neurology will not send results to the doctor, or answer the phone. Every month we have rung and received the same message that due to staff illness nobody is answering the phone. It is an absolute joke. I feel the NHS is an absolute joke now after the covid pandemic and is not interested anymore in my wellbeing. Consultants do not appear to be doing their jobs properly and are forgetting about their patients No wonder you get discharged without your problems being sorted as nothing gets done - it is an absolute joke.

Today I had my 3rd and final appointment with the subject team and as per previous appointments the standard of care was exemplary and professional- thank you. I have no idea who runs this department but if it was me I would be extremely proud. Thank you

  6. Review titled More information and more pain relief needed

    by Nightmare123 - Posted on 11 August 2022

While waiting a women who just had hysteroscopy came out looking distressed and said to her spouse "please take me home now" and I will never forget the look on her face as I now know why. I was given a form that tells you what’s going to happen, also tells you you should have taken strong pain relief 1 to2 hours before and I didn’t know, too late. First room they tried to do a smear but had to remove polyp, the ultrasound, then straight in the next room. As I didn’t have a chance to read what was to happen with the form they gave me I think I went into shock what was about to happen. Legs in the air, a bucket under me to catch the gunge and a long rod put inside me which I thought cuts the polyp away. No, it actually grates it and you see it on screen. Anyway it took ages and they removed another small polyp and then started to grind another large polyp which started to really hurt, and they had to stop. I am supposed to return again to finish that last polyp but I don't think my heart could stand the pain and stress. What is needed is change. When they send out your appointment they should include the BSGE information form so you are aware of what’s going to happen, and as for "mild pain", that is a load of rubbish.
