Review titled Another excellent experience
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Pat Brockman - Posted on 27 July 2024
I had occasion to write some excellent reviews of this hospital last year, when my husband was attending. This time my praise is for the Minor Injury Unit Team. I’ve attended twice this week, and had superb care and treatment each time, from extremely professional and caring staff. Thank you again.

Review titled Eye appointment
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Pam tyler - Posted on 05 April 2024
My 85 year old mother had treatment in opthalmology and although her actual treatment was handle with care and consideration she was told she would need more treatment in a months time. As of yet she's heard nothing and the month will be up in 3 days. As you can imagine she is getting distressed as the treatment is on her good eye and she's extremely frightened about losing her sight and independence. Getting through to the opthalmology department to speak to anybody is virtually impossible as when they do eventually answer the phone they put it straight down again. We really are very unhappy about events after her treatment. Not very efficient at all.

Review titled Bewildered
Rated 4 stars out of 5

Had an xray of my knee at imaging depot. . Went back later as I needed a copy. (a couple of years ago, I could get a copy in a few days on a cd, which they don't do now), But was told to fill in a form, which said I could get a copy of my records in about 4 weeks time. I need a copy very soon. Why can't they give me a copy of my xray soon.? God only knows! The reply will probably be Data protection. Against Myself? . Ps. I had my eyes tested there a few days ago for diabetes, and got a copy of test within two days.

What a difference to Worcester Hospital. Friendly, informative staff and in and out of CT scan smoothly. I shall be requesting all future referrals to this small and friendly Hospital.

Review titled Wonderful staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I came in for a laparoscopy and was extremely nervous about it as I had not had surgery before. The surgery team and all the staff on ward 1 could not do enough for me, explained everything well, and were very kind, cheerful and helpful throughout. As a coeliac, they also ensured I had good quality gluten free food available in recovery. I'm very grateful for how well everything went and wish the team the best.

Review titled First class service yet again
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended imaging today, and haematology last week. Both experiences were superb: the staff of this hospital always impress me with their professional approach, their caring attitudes, and their obvious ability to work well as teams. Earlier this year, I wrote a number of similar reviews when attending for different reasons. I can’t praise this hospital highly enough. Indeed, it’s getting boring! Top marks to everyone at Kidderminster Hospital. PS Any chance of getting better car parking facilities?

Review titled Very pleased
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Susan Walton - Posted on 10 September 2023
I attended for endoscopy I was obviously very nervous. Not kept waiting much past my appointment time. The staff and Doctor were so friendly, reassuring and knowledgeable in their field. The Doctor spoke to me before the procedure explaining the process, also chatted generally to put me at ease. The nurses were so supportive during the process and the Doctor explained what was found (thankfully nothing serious) and also discussed the next step to resolve my issue. Very happy with whole experience and hospital in general.

Review titled Brilliant Service

I visited the Imaging Dept on a Bank Holiday Saturday. I was apprehensive about my visit but as soon as I entered the hospital I was greeted by a staff member who gave me clear instructions on where to go. At Reception the lady was very welcoming and confirmed I was at the right place. I had no sooner sat down than I was called. The whole procedure was clearly and reassuringly explained to me and I was given the opportunity to ask any questions. The 2 ladies who carried out the scan were very friendly, but also very professional. I felt very reassured by the way they treated me. The scan lasted no more than 10 minutes......as I walked out I was annoyed with myself for feeling anxious and apprehensive..... there was no need to have been! I also appreciated that the staff had agreed to work on a Bank Holiday Saturday Thank you

Review titled Superb service in minor injuries
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Ashley Edwards - Posted on 08 July 2023
Brought my 17 year old son in to minor injuries saturday morning. I left him in the car while I spoke to reception as he couldnt stand (poss fractured knee). I spoke to reception where the lady was very friendly, she quickly checked us in and got me some help to unload my son. He was taken straight through and examined, then taken to xray. Then back downstairs to discuss treatment. A short while later the nurse's (if thats their title) came back to tell us the extent of his injury but also that they had rang worcester to get him booked in as he needed an op. They then helped to reload him back in the car. Everyone involved in his treatment while in kidderminster was superb, calm, and friendly while explaining everything to us parents and the upset boy. Well done all involved, thank you.
