  1. Review titled Amazing Dr

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Elizabeth Wolfendale - Posted on 03 July 2024

My son partially amputated his finger today and broke it in 2 places. He is only 11. DrMarklew took one look at my sons finger insisted he was given pain relief immediately and advised us to go with him. He dealt with my son the best he could, rushed him through for an x-ray. He came with us and stayed with my son the entire time. He was calling Broomfield Hospital to get through to the plastic surgeons. He kept me up to date with everything he was doing and what was happening with my son. My son is now having emergency surgery tomorrow morning. He did not leave my son's side. He was absolutely amazing! He was kind and caring. He went over and beyond. This review just isn't enough. I wish I could do more to ensure this Dr is praised for what he did for my son today. There is doing your job and then there's going over and beyond. Dr of the year award in my opinion goes to DrMarklew. My son said he is now his friend and he will never ever forget him. Thank you so much!

Had an MRI 17/7/2024 -all staff were great, they kept me informed of everything happening answering enquiries. The equipment seemed to be modern ,the environment slick and span .I was very pleased.Signage to aid getting from entrance to MRI could be better, still staff spoken to for directions were most helpful.

  3. Review titled Horrible service

by Mohammad Kaushar - Posted on 05 June 2024

I went in the A&E yesterday at 9pm. I have waited the entire night for a doctor but no one was there to attend me. In that room, two mentally unstable person was with us who kept shouting and screaming the entire night. They were slanging everyone. The entire environment was chaotic and all of us who were already sick became more sick because of the chaotic environment. I am a diabetic patient and have requested for dinner and breakfast but didn’t get any food/drink. How do you expect a patient to be waiting in there for 15 to 20 hours without any food??? After a whole night without any sleep and food as a diabetic patient, I felt even more sick by going to the hospital. Then in the morning I could not tolerate it anymore and so left the hospital by giving a withdrawal notice. If this continues like this, we patients will be not willing to go hospitals anymore and better die at home without getting any medical treatments at least we will get some love and care from our family rather be in the hospital.

  4. Review titled Friendly staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Gilly Querfurth - Posted on 26 June 2024

I visited the breast clinic today and i was very impressed with the service. All the staff, Drs, nurses, mammographers etc were very friendly and helped reassure me. The clinic was very efficient, i was told it would take 5 hrs but i was finished in less than 3. i am a nurse in a large hospital and patients are often waiting hours to see the Dr and are frustrated but I have always had a good experience at King George's Hospital and will recommend it to others.

  5. Review titled Helpful Staff at King George

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 June 2024

Helpful a&e staff in cdu & Majors, the reception staff were helpful and polite Very very long waiting times in Majors, very sick people and patients on trollies in corridors. Patients sent home with appendix undiagnosed and then returning with burst appendix. The diagnostic process is very very slow, it’s almost like each test cost, so they only do the tests they deem necessary and each test is determined by the result of the earlier test which isn’t always a way to rule out illness. For example, stomach pain, bloods and ultrasound, wait for result and then next investigation step but no, bloods 1st wait 3 hours for result then examination, then sent to majors, wait for ct and then 8 hours for results, in this time the Appendix burst and caused complications. Bloods and a scan would have determined most of what was needed Very very busy environment, not sure why beds have been replaced with reclining broken chairs for sick patients, obviously you would have to be very sick to be in cdu, just causing patients more suffering and pain. No curtains for privacy or dignity. Each chair is arm’s length from the the next so there’s just no privacy when managing pain. They need to put the beds and curtains back. This new set up doesn’t make any sense In cdu the staff on shift on 12.06.2024 were great. Sister m.l and her team were really really good and the night staff. D hcsw was lovely. Sometimes the service is busy and staff can’t deliver the service properly due to this but it’s the attitude that also matters. It’s important to have the right attitude and m.l and her team achieved this

  8. Review titled Great service for my child at the Elm breast clinic

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 May 2024

I went there with my son - due to concerns with him. We were very nervous. The staff were amazing and were so friendly. They really helped put us at ease. One of the nurses was asking my son about football - which is great as that is one of his fave topics. The other great thing is that the scan, appointment and follow up was all done on the same day. Which helped massively. Thank you all - I hope this message gets forwarded to the team.

  9. Review titled King’s George Hospital A&E

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Alice - Posted on 06 May 2024

Staff on Reception in A&E of King George’s hospital were rude, unprofessional and took my right to choose a course of options for my health. They added to my stress levels and whilst verbally abusing me, immediately fell back on we can get someone if we don’t like what you’re saying to us. I felt threatened throughout yet no one from the staff supported me. The only support I got was from patients who reported the same treatment. I feel sorry for elederly patients who are vulnerable in this atmosphere. A&E have created a problem when none was necessary and reflect badly on the NHS and those who are actually doing a good job.

  10. Review titled Out patient Gynaecology

Rated 3 stars out of 5

    by Kathy B - Posted on 23 May 2024

Arrived for outpatient appt early wait to be seen. patient with later appt times was seen before myself. Checked with reception and this was brought to the attention of nurse running clinic. It would appear I was overlooked. The nurse running the clinic had no interaction with myself and did not acknowledge any patients waiting. Staff seem happy to interact with each other but not much communication with patients in the out patient part. the consultant was pleasant and apologized which I didn’t expect as it wasn’t her fault I had been overlooked. This I felt affected my interaction in my appt and how much time I could spend asking questions.
