Review titled Outstanding care at every step
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 15 June 2023
I took my 87 year old mother in at 5.00pm having been told by General Practitioner to go immediately to Accident and Emergency Care. Within 45 mins of arriving she was hooked up to every machine imaginable, being fussed over, reassured and seen by a specialist cardiologist. Staff at every level could not have been kinder and more attentive. She was treated overnight and thankfully now is home and well. These amazing doctors and nurses go well above and beyond. But it is the same for all the wonderful people working at Kings Mill - special mention to the kindest, kindest porter who helped me get mum to and into the car when we left - Thank you thank you to all at Kings Mill. Today I still have my mum, two days ago I was not sure that would be the case at all.

Review titled Amazing staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Ashleigh Salisbury - Posted on 16 June 2023
I was induced 08/06/2023 and had to stay overnight until I gave birth the following morning! Every single member of staff we came into contact with were absolutely amazing, welcoming and caring! It made the labour experience so much nicer and easier without having to worry about rude staff! If I knew names I’d love the chance to thank each and every person that worked with me through my labour. You’re pregnancy and birthing staff are absolute top notch and they all deserve to know atleast that they are deeply appreciated and the work they do is fantastic

Review titled Outstanding! Ward 36, Short Stay Unit
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 04 July 2023
My mother was admitted on 27 June 2023 due to an emergency detioration of her condition at the final stages of bowel cancer. The private room my mother was given was very comfortable, clean and bright. I can honestly say that all the Staff in Ward 36 were outstanding and did everything they could to make both my mother, and our time we had left with her, as comfortable as possible - even setting up a bed in her room so one of us could stay overnight with her. A huge thank you to everyone in Short Stay Unit for your sincere kindness and support to the family, for our teas/coffees/ sandwiches/biscuits and even the offering of hot food! You made such a difficult time much more bearable. To the end my mother (although in a comatose state) was still turned in bed and kindly cared for. The Short Stay Unit Staff were exceptional and we will always be grateful that our mother received the very best care and attention right to the very end.

Review titled Pharmacy
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Tracey Greatorex - Posted on 14 June 2023
Not happy that the pharmacy has left my husband over 24 hours without any medication, told I could collect it on Tuesday 13th and now we on 14th and still hasn't arrived on the ward. All day without medication that is his life saving meds. Not good enough.

Review titled Adaptable and responsive service
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 12 June 2023
I came with my elderly mother into A&E very early one morning and had a great experience, not only of kindness from all the staff but also of efficient care. I was particularly impressed by the ANP who listened and was responsive to my request for minimal interventions so that we could get Mum back to her care home asap. Scans and X-rays were arranged and delivered rapidly so that decisions could be made quickly. We were on our way back with her by lunchtime. Thank you for great service delivery in spite of the pressures you face.

I had an ultrasound and was really nervous about it as one of them was internal. The doctor made me feel massively at ease and was so lovely throughout. Massive thanks to him!

I wish I could mention names of the people who carried out my minor surgery today as they were so good, very professional, caring and down to earth they pit me totally at ease whilst answering my many questions and keeping me informed on what was happening at what time. Thankyou so much to "triage" who got me ready and saw me afterwards and thankyoi to the 4 surgeon's/trainee surgeon's that were in the room when it all happened
