Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Arthur Collins - Posted on 20 February 2024
I want to state my total satisfaction with the regard to the staff.that provided support and encouragement. I attended both LGI Accident and emergency and St James Ward 9. My comments relate to both hospitals. The nurses provide care and support, add encouragement, Please pass on my deep thanks to the staff at both locations

Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Nazia Chauhdry - Posted on 30 January 2024
I wish I could remember the name of that Doctor who looked after me on 29th January in A&E . I have had a great experience the way he examined me and went in to every little detail about my health issue, he sat down with me like a friend and a counsellor which is being more than a doctor. the day was Monday , the date was 29th January the department was LGI`s A&E and I was there for my backpain Seven Stars for the Doctor and the MRI team everyone of them was so kind and considerate. <3 <3 <3

Review titled Orthotics department
Rated 1 star out of 5

Over 7 week wait for 'custom' shoe insoles. I get there this afternoon having taken time off work to find that they are clown sized. No way are these 'custom' made. Not only that but they can't be reduced in size. Waste of petrol and parking getting to the hospital and now have to wait even longer for another pair to be made and take more time off work. Do I have faith that these will be the correct ones for me. No. Not after this debacle

Review titled Extremely happy with patient’s treatment
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 28 January 2024
I went to visit the emergency’s department out of concern for a minor injury, it was my first time visiting this hospital. I was pleasantly surprised but the treatment from staff, they were are very gentle with patients and treated me with care and high profesional attitude. As a student I had to take myself there with no company but still felt extremely grateful with the staff.

Review titled Avoid like the plague
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Laura - Posted on 19 December 2023
Unbelievable service. My partner got seen over 10 hours in A and E after having a stroke, to then come back after 6 days with symptoms of another stroke and got kept waiting another 10hours while having stroke symptoms in the A and E area. We are still sat here waiting as I write this, I live in Manchester and know a busy hospital when I see one, but LGI is by far the worse hospital I've ever seen and witnessed. Must be the worse in the whole entire world. Nurses and doctors very rude, if you get to see one, not attentive at all. They do not rush to see patients at all, the whole system is diabolical, I'm flabagasted with the so called service. I truly am. A and E should close down, not worth going. Avoid at all costs

Review titled Fantastic Emergency Department
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Karina Mikkelsen Edwards - Posted on 24 November 2023
Was sent to the Emergency Department by GP due to neurological issue after brain surgery. I was seen by nurse first who was absolutely amazing. She quickly got a doctor involved and they both ensured I was going to the neurology ward for the treatment I needed. They both even came to check on me when they shift ended. My wife and I were both very worried but the nurse put us both at ease. Feeling safe and cared for with so much empathy meant the world to us. Can’t thank you enough.

Review titled Outstanding care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Eveleigh Bradford - Posted on 14 November 2023
On the evening of 9 November I suffered a slight heart attack. After dialling 111, the first response team arrived in 10 minutes, then the ambulance service; I was taken to the Emergency dept and then to a Cardiology ward (L 19 - later to L 14). Meanwhile I was given a full range of tests and an angiogram/angioplasty the next day; I was discharged within 48 hours of admission. Throughout, the care offered was exceptional: prompt, kind, efficient and informative from everyone involved: support staff, nurses, radiographers, doctors. Faultless service, for which I am very grateful.

Review titled Fantastic Care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Thomas Yule - Posted on 13 October 2023
I had a brain tumour removed. The ward I stayed in was clean, efficient, and I never felt scared or not confident in my treatment. The staff were attentive, caring, smiley, and nice which made my stay all the more pleasant. The wars is an exemplary example of the NHS.
