From the minute I walked into theatre arrivals to when I left ward 31 (gynae) I was treated with respect and dignity. I was looked after extremely well and cannot thank everyone enough. Special thanks to the team who performed my surgery and all the staff on ward 31. You made a very anxious time alot more bearable for me x

  2. Review titled Miracle workers

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I spent 5 weeks in Neuro rehabilitation unit and received the most incredible care, love and compassion from all of the staff. I cannot praise the staff enough. I was unable to even get out of bed when I went into ward 2, I was very wary at first because I had already spent 31 days in in in burton on Trent hospital plus another 30 days on a ward. Leicester Neuro rehabilitation unit was the only hospital that would take me because of my postcode! From the minute I was admitted I felt reassured that I would be ok. Nothing was to much trouble. My family were involved all of the way. With the help of all the team I began to regain my ability and was able to walk with a stroller, shower, dress feed myself it was like the Phoenix rising from the ashes. I finally left after 5 weeks walking out with a stroller. I wanted to go home but was sad to be leaving my hospital family. Thank you everyone on ward 2 you are all incredible.

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I attended LGH on 3.1 and 10.1 for pre op assessment followed by day case surgery. Every member of staff I encountered was courteous and caring. On surgery day everything was explained well and after surgery at 14:00 I was able to leave by 18:00. Overall a very good experience

  7. Review titled Trying to get through to sleep clinic

by V tired patient - Posted on 21 December 2023

I need help with my CPAP equipment and have been trying to call the sleep clinic for two weeks now and they don't answer. I remember this problem before and the clinic gave me an email address which I later used and received a quick response. I cannot find this email address anywhere at home or even online, so I am frustrated and short of visiting the place I don't know what to do other than talk about it here :(

  8. Review titled Outstanding ward

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Sandra cheater - Posted on 03 December 2023

Hi I was a patient on ward 18 on Saturday dec 2nd I was greeted by friendly staff who showed me to my bed and explained what would happen regarding my day there, after going through the paperwork my surgeon popped in for a chat regarding the procedure, then I was told that I would be put to sleep which I was fine with that ,when I arrived back on the ward after the operation I was so well looked after with a welcome cuppa and toast ,then the physio came and went through the things I needed to do with the crutches and said date for clinic for physio would be in the post then I received my meds and paperwork for going home from going in at 7-30am to going home at 4pm the staff on ward 18 plus the surgeon and all involved with the operation were superb couldn’t fault a single thing the ward was nice and warm and clean any questions I asked were answered ward 18 should be very proud of the wonderful job you all do

  9. Review titled Hurried and chaotic

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 27 November 2023

Arrived early as requested as I am disabled and need hoisting. Kept informed that there was a delay. When Dr arrived treatment was hurried. I had opened my bowels on the pad I was wearing and was not cleaned up, after treatment hoisted back in wheelchair, on arrival home sling had not been left under me, so my carers had to take that one out and use another . Overall I was left feeling very sore and achy. The Dr didn't seem to want to engage with me when I asked him questions. One nurse was very helpful.
