  1. Review titled Wonderful wonderful staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 August 2022

I came to the hospital on 3rd August 2022 with facial injuries due to a dog attack. There are not enough words to describe my graditude of all the staff that looked after me that evening. They worked so hard and kept so cheerful and upbeat. My injuries required a Maxillofacial surgeon and I cannot tell you what a fabulous job that person did ( I took the name but I know I can’t say…..I want to though). I want this person to know how talented and gifted they are and to always know that they made me feel calm (with music) and did a super job of my face. I have recently had my stitches out and the nurse said what a fabulous job they did and that scarring would be minimal due to their efforts and hard work. I hope you see this.

  2. Review titled Acute Care Bays - Very Poor Service by night staff

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 August 2022

My 83yr old mother was recently in the Acute Care Bays. The other night the staff wouldn't listen to what she was saying whilst in extreme pain. She told them she needed to pee, they replied "you don't you have a catheter"... They didn't even check. She then messed herself and needed cleaning, which happened twice that night. She was then moved to a different ward the next morning and still had her own excrement under her finger nails 15hrs later. They hadn't even checked/cleaned her hands! Disgraceful!

  3. Review titled Getting there

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 16 August 2022

The treatment received and the staff administering it are first class, however to be given an attendance time and then to regularly be kept waiting for over 2.30 hours without any information or explanation undoes some of good work being done.

  4. Review titled A Disgrace!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Patricia - Posted on 24 July 2022

Leicester Royal A&E kept me 76 & my 78 year old husband waiting from 8:10pm on Friday 22nd July 2022 until 11am on Saturday 23rd to see a doctor. We finally received medication at 2pm. We waited 18 Hours. It was a very humiliating and degrading experience. You all deserve to be sacked.

  5. Review titled Amazing care and attention - paediatric Cardiology

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 05 July 2022

My daughter had an appointment with the Paediatric Cardiology appointment today. I can’t express how impressed I am with this department. We were running a couple of minutes late as I couldn’t get parked. Phoned and this was not an issue at all the lady was lovely and told us not to worry. We walked into the department and the first nurse was ready at reception for us. Once her checks had been completed she took us to the next room for an ECG, we were then escorted straight to have an echo. It was such a smooth, quick transition from practitioner to practitioner. We then waited in the main waiting room whilst the consultant checked through all the tests. The chairs were the comfiest I have sat in at a hospital. There were tv screens, entertainment for the children - including nurses / nursery nurses entertaining the little ones in the waiting room. The decor was clean and appropriate to the age range so would be visiting. Every member of staff we had contact with explained their procedure clearly and to my daughter - who’s a teen, so appreciated being spoken to as a young ‘adult’. Nothing felt rushed and we had opportunities to ask questions. The consultant couldn’t have been nicer or more reassuring. She was clear and concise with her information and checked that we were also clear with everything and next steps. A huge thank you to everyone.

  6. Review titled Great service from A&E

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Rojina Subhan - Posted on 15 August 2022

I went to A&E on the 13th of July around 7am due to excessive bleeding from my wound (I had my gall bladder removed on the 12th of july at Kettering woodlands hospital). The nurse, HCA and advanced practitioner were amazing. They listened and although they couldn't do much for the excessive bleeding - they were amazing. There was compassionate care, thoughtful care and most of all very respectful. I've had very poor care from the NHS on previous occasions even though I myself work for the NHS. The surgical team wouldn't accept me but the nurse in charge must have gone above and beyond to get me transferred to Glenfield. I would like you to give my thanks to those involved that morning. Unfortunately I have forgotten everyones names. Thank you

  9. Review titled Exceptional staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 22 July 2022

I would like to say a massive thank you to the exceptional staff on wards 22 and 42 who took amazing care of my 80 years old mother in the last couple of weeks. You were extremely patient, attentive and caring whilst having to deal with multiple tasks. I know I am not able to mention names, nut there was a female nurse who I want to highlight as when I was visiting my mother on Saturday, 9th July, I had a minor diabetic episode and she looked after me as well as the real patients. My mother also spoke of the anesthetist who paid attention to her concerns and offered reassurance to a scared lady. We should all be very grateful for the NHS and the staff that keep us well, but the staff are an absolute credit to the hospital. Thank you once again.
