  3. Review titled Very efficient and friendly

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended Ophthalmology for a glaucoma test, and was dealt with very quickly, but efficiently. All the staff were friendly and helpful, which made the experience enjoyable. Everything was explained clearly at each stage, which included three tests, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions. Very pleased with the way the whole process was handled.

  4. Review titled Great service and friendly staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mr. S Fifield - Posted on 07 September 2022

I was sent to A&E after my doctors practice diagnosed very high blood pressure. I was quickly checked in and did not have to wait long before a nurse checked me over. I was then seen by someone who reviewed my symtoms and said that I would have some blood tests and an ECG. Within a short time I had my ECG carried out by two very pleasant trainee nurses and then my blood tests. I was also given a Covid test. I was then seen by a very pleasant junior doctor who thoroughly checked me over and discussed any possible symtoms I might have. After assuring me that my blood pressure was a lot lower than initially stated at my surgery and that he could not find any reasonable cause, but I would have to wait for the blood tests to come back (approx 2 to 3 hours) The results all came back normal, but he advised me to have my medication checked by my surgery. All in all, I cannot fault my treatment and the pleasant staff that I met, considering the amout of hours and pressure they are under. Thank you

  5. Review titled Recent visit

After suffering a deep cut on my leg I can only give praise for the staff in a and e and the injuries unit. Everyone worked hard to make me as comfortable as possible and kept me informed the whole of the time. However a shortage of porters did result in a delay going and returning from the xray department.

Phoned daily on 01162047984 since September as asked but the phone is never answered, just rings and rings and then cuts out.I need an urgent appointment to get the treatment I am told I need. How can I rate the hospital when I cannot make an urgent appointment.

  7. Review titled Prompt and efficient treatment of a painful condition

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 September 2022

I attended LRI A&E at 05.16 on 1st September because I was unable to pass water and was extremely uncomfortable. I received prompt and efficient treatment and with a catheter fitted I had been 'relieved' (literally!) of my condition before 06.00. I remained in the department for a further six hours until I was discharged just after 12.00, having had a blood test and other observations and two visits from one of the junior doctors. I am grateful to all concerned for their care and attention.

  8. Review titled grateful to staff in the GP Assessment Unit

by Somethinggood - Posted on 16 August 2022

My daughter attended the GP Assessment Unit (GPAU) at Leicester royal. We knew there would be a wait, but the treatment my daughter received was superb. The doctor who examined her was thorough and professional. He persisted in tests an x-rays and even a CT scan until he discovered she had CAP. Then he gave us the antibiotics she needed. I am so grateful to him and the staff and nurses who were part of her care. Well done all of you.

My son had a fracture and the staff in the paediatric dept are just amazing it’s so lovely having amazing dr’s & nurses who genuinely show care and love! Having a dedicated paediatrics a&e is amazing too! The whole experience reminded me how lucky we are to have the NHS especially when the staff are as fabulous as we encountered today!

  10. Review titled The service as always is awful.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 28 August 2022

This hospital seem to have no regard for elderly patients with dementia. This is my second experience and whilst we got into the department from the ambulance quickly once inside the hospital so far we have waited 9 hours to see a doctor and as next of kin with her knowone has told me when or what is going on. She is so confused and distressed. Just the worst experience.
