  1. Review titled Excellent

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Attended with a piercing that had gone wrong with my daughter. The earring was lodged into the ear as the incorrect earring was used to do the piercing. All staff who we met we so lovely and professional. The nurse who treated my daughter was an absolute angel, knew what to do and was excellent in her care.

  2. Review titled Long wait in Accident &Emergency

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 21 October 2024

My wife fell to the floor clutching her chest in great pain saying that she could not feel her hands and lips on Tuesday night. I immediately thought she was having a heart attack so rang 999 to be told that there was a 4 hour wait for an Ambulance so could I take her myself, which I did. We got there around 20:00hrs I dropped her and her son off and went to park the car, when I returned to the Accident & Emergency she was on the floor once again clutching her chest and writhing in pain. She was put in a wheelchair and taken through for an Electrocardiogram, which happened reasonably quickly. We then waited and waited, she was triaged after a couple of hours and in the end we were seen and left (it wasn't a heart attack) around 05:00hrs on the Wednesday. While we were there there were several emergencies with alarms going off, whenever that happened there was little rushing. One women had 3 or 4 fits while we were there, there were many people there in discomfort for considerable time. I could not believe the amount of time that everyone had to wait on a Tuesday evening, generally not a busy time. My view of the National Health Service is that it is a good thing that looks after people but having to wait that long is not right and any one of the many National Health Service managers need to look at it all, there were a lot of scared people in pain. In my business we would not be able to get away with such poor service, the people at the sharp end the Nurses and Doctors etc should be commended for their work but you could see that they were battling against the tide. Managers should be sent to sit there like a customer to see what it is like.

  3. Review titled Amazing treatment for my toddler!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Last night my little boy was struggling with his breathing, as anything with young children I was terrified! From the moment I stepped in the building from the front door triage staff too the entire a&e Peads team I saw we had the swiftest, most efficient care! The doctor on a&e peads was astounding and a very lovely lady who treated my little boy with the greatest care, the nurse that triaged him was so lovely and moved my little boy to resus asap so he could get the care he needed! This gentleman was superb as was the doctor in charge! The whole resus team also provided amazing care and once moved to the childrens ward this was no different all the nurses and doctors there were truly amazing! My little boy is now on the mend and I am super happy with the care provided

  4. Review titled Amazing experience for colonoscopy

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Jamie Hill - Posted on 10 October 2024

From the moment I came in, I was made to feel welcome and calm, every single person within the department was welcoming and made sure I was at ease, they made sure that I understood what was gonna happen and explained every part of it, I ask a lot of questions and each one was met with a professional response. I had a trainee preforming my colonoscopy, and even without any sedation or gas and air (my choice), I was very comfortable during. Anyone worried about colonoscopy’s coming to the Lincoln department, don’t worry.. they definitely look after you and all are very friendly, and will make sure your well! Thank you everyone who looked after me yesterday! Great team!

  5. Review titled Inadequate service.

Rated 1 star out of 5

A&E at Lincoln is beyond a joke. The wait times are horrendous. We took our 10 week old daughter to be seen on Sunday 15th September. The facility is dangerously understaffed. A staff member was mentioning how she was the only one at one stage of the night. This is utterly unacceptable. We had to complain after three hours to be seen, which is unfortunate due to being understanding people. The facility was so incredibly hot that my baby was in just a nappy and was sweating, to the point of it being dangerous. This A&E is beyond words as to how appalling the service is. The management should be ashamed.

  6. Review titled Very poor service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Paul - Posted on 16 September 2024

Nobody seemed to care that my 10 week old was poorly staff seemed over whelmed and didn’t seem to care about any patients waiting. Took over 15 minutes to be let in to secure area. Over 1 hour later saw a triage nurse, to take a simple vitals check, at this point was told it wouldn’t be long as they had 3 doctors on duty, two hours later I had to complain at how long we had waiting in a non air conditioned area that was extremely hot with an over heating baby, to which they didn’t really care again, to which we asked to leave as you can’t with out being let out, again they didn’t really care, so had to ask legally can you hold us? To which they eventually offered to let us wait out side. We asked how long we were going to have to wait? We were apparently second in the queue, but then suddenly 1 minute later we were seen.

  7. Review titled Excellent treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

From the minute I was introduced to my dedicated nurse to the minute I left every member of staff was caring, kind and totally professional. I could not have had better care. Although they were always busy they were ready to help at any time. I went from the ward, to the theatre, to recovery and back to the ward. At all times I was reassured and met with empathy. Very reassuring to a nervous old woman. Thank you all.

  9. Review titled Lack of communication

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Janice Whelan - Posted on 13 September 2024

My husband visited cardiologist 01.08.2024 after symptoms which lead his gp to investigate raised bnp abnormal ecg, Abnormal Echocardiogram, hypertension. Neither the gp or He have receive outcomes letter. No referral for Cardiac MRI or stress test as suggested by cardiologist. Phone calls to secretary are never returned. He has no diagnosis only a ‘place on waiting list for 9 months f2f review’ noted by call centre on his hospital record. No advice to manage a condition other than drink more water! Now being treated for possible asthma due to breathing difficulties. I never realised asthma causes heart block etc!

  10. Review titled Unqualified staff pretend to be a doctor

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 10 August 2024

An unqualified staff member pretending to be a dr after a heart attack and dismissed me. Asked to explain my blood results she became seriously aggressive. Next time I will rather travel to other town or city to get help!
