Review titled Long wait
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 12 October 2024
My husband attended on 27th Aug 2024 while the care he received was OK the 19 hr wait for a bed was not .to be sat on a uncomfortable on chair on a drip amongst other people on drips .others vomiting and at times people with mental health issues was stress ful for him .it's is known that a n e is full and long waits are possible. At the very least comfortable reclining chairs with pillows and blankets should be available to the sickest people .my husband was begging me to take him home which was impossible due to his illness. There is no dignity at all in an e observation are done in full view of others .sleep is impossible and as my husband was there from 9 pm til 6.30 pm the following day he was not only ill but fatigued.

Review titled S A L department
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Terry Carney - Posted on 08 July 2024
I was sent to the SAL department on Sunday evening July 7th pending my hospital discharge on Monday 8th July 24. I would like to commend all of the staff that were on duty during that night for their care and understanding of an embarrassing episode for me whilst I was under their care. Thank you all.

I have had two appointments so far this year with the cardiologist, he was professional and throughly knowledgeable in his explanation and treatment. It was a pleasure to talk to him.

Review titled Fantastic support from Urology
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Suzanne K - Posted on 21 June 2024
My husband has advanced cancer and has had to attend the Urgent Treatment Centre multiple times in the past 3 months for issues with catheters and nephrostomies. The Urology team have been fantastic in ensuring he is seen by them as quickly as possible and treated with great care and attention. We are usually sorted and on our way home in 30 minutes which is way beyond expectations and makes the whole situation much more manageable. Great care from all concerned - a fantastic team! Thank you to all!

Review titled Poor choice of snacks at a very high price
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Brian - Posted on 11 June 2024
I was more than 6 hours in this department, there was a water dispenser, I went to the vending machine in the entrance, what a very poor selection of un healthy snacks. I thought potato hoops were the the best of a poor selection, £1.30 for a 34g pack. You cannot buy this size in a shop. Amazon sell them in boxes of 32 and they are 81 pence each so how much profit are the vending machine conpany making? On a positive note a man came around about 8pm offering a hot drink and a packet of biscuits, so kind thank you!

Review titled Car Parking
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 25 June 2024
A shambles, not even spaces considering its the main hospital in the county. Expecting a heavly pregnant woman walk from the main carpark (if you can find a space) all they way over to the maternity ward (with a tiny carpark) in high temperatures is extremely poor. Is there any plans to increase the parking at the hospital? Leaving enough time to get to appointment then spending up to about 10 minutes trying your odds to find a space then having to walk across site making you late for the appointment. Desperately needs reviewing.

Review titled A&E a sad mess
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Andrew B - Posted on 06 June 2024
A&E at Lincoln County isn't breaking, its already broken. Sadly the 30+ hour wait for a bed in A&E has been trivialised and normalised here as I witnessed with my father. Reception staff on the A&E just shrug their shoulders if you dare ask for an update. What I witnessed was an A&E with clearly not enough staff to cope. The doctors and nurses do their very best and are to be commended, but the supply simply doesn't meet the demand. Wait times are outrageous, suspected strokes being left hours in chairs, elderly patients facing 2 night waits on chairs for a bed. Its a sad sad sight.

Review titled Terrible service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Ray - Posted on 17 May 2024
Was sent to a & e by my doctor with a notification from him, no seats, people on intravenous drips in the waiting room, no staff available apart from over stretched nurses going round doing observations on people. 9 and half hours I spent there for a blood test, and I left with no information about anything at all. And when I went back to my doctors to speak to him the write was he had wasn't what was said to me, no x ray, but i did get a coffee and a sandwich which was much appreciated. I'd recommend no one goes there at all. All the lower staff are running round like headless chickens, all the doctors are sat behind a screen talking about whatever. Totally don't recommend going here. Couldn't even get my pain killers because the pharmacy was closed, and the prescription was only valid in the hospital, and to top it all off it cost me 8 quid to park there, I could have gone to the pharmacy at tesco, baught a meal deal some painkillers and had money left, and I'd get an afters. Not Impressed At All....
