  3. Review titled Led me to panic attack

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 May 2023

After growth scan, had to spend 4 hours overall in waiting room to be seen. As result, only thing I received is printed leaflet and was told that will receive a call within 1 week to have a follow up appointment! To wait 4 hours in a smelly waiting room to get printed paper (which I could find myself on NHS website) and information about follow up appointment (which I could get by phone) ??? In addition, on my arrival, I was told by security that I am not able to get the ticket to pay parking because barrier is broken and I don’t need to pay. When I came back to my car I found parking notice charge!!! So, when I called security again, they were completely indifferent and unprofessional! I am 37 weeks pregnant. Instead of receiving qualified support, the Maternity unit service made me feel just anxious and led me to the panic attack.

  4. Review titled Excellent service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Andy - Posted on 14 May 2023

I was referred to the Luton and Dunstable due to a suspected mini stroke. The day after my referral I received a call from a nurse to book a telephone appointment in the following day with a consultant. The consultant called and after 5 mins of questions they asked me to go direct to the x ray department for an mri and an Ultrasound scan. There was a slight delay to the Mri scan due to an issue on the computer, however I was in and out sighing 3 hours. The following day the consultant called me to give the results. Overall a very efficient and quick service. Cannot fault the nhs or the hospital for how they treated my case with urgency.

  6. Review titled Outstanding care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Susan Tomes-Rolt - Posted on 02 June 2023

The standard of care given to my mother was outstanding during her stay. She was treated with compassion and dignity at all times. The staff were professional, caring and friendly. Explanations were clear and informative. A particular mention to the student nurses who made a real impact on us, and we wish them all the best for their future. In addition to the care we received we witnessed great care and compassion for confused patients. Thank you.

  8. Review titled Poor management

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 March 2023

From admission to self-discharge, the care from the doctors was appalling. Just because it wasn’t a straightforward textbook case, they were not interested in a diagnosis. A private hospital provided a diagnosis and operation all within 12 hours of me presenting and had to refer me back to an NHS hospital due to complex, high dependency needs, but wouldn’t let them transfer me back to Luton. Nurses went over and beyond to help me and couldn’t fault them in any way. Excellent nursing staff, especially the training nurses.
