We had to visit the hospital with a suspected appendicitis, L & D were awesome from start to finish. They sorted out the problem very quickly and we saw many very professional staff who had a fantastic manner with my 18year old daughter The triaging was first rate and this got us to the right people very quickly Thank you so much

I was admitted to the Day Care dept and from the moment I was booked in to the time I had finished by cup of tea and sandwich I was given top notch care. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The staff in theatre made me feel welcome and explained what was going to happen every step of the way. I enjoyed a lovely freshly made cup of tea and wholesome sandwich. Although everyone was busy they still made time to explain things and put my mind at rest. I would like to thank everyone at the hospital for doing a such a wonderful job. Both the nurses in triarge and the doctors that consulted and treated me with my injury were so kind, sympathetic and attentive, they put me completely at ease. I was so scared and upset and in pain and they reassured me every step of the way and gave me incredible medical care. I am so humbled and grateful to the staff at this hospital and the NHS as a whole. Thank you from the bottom of my heart

I have unfortunately been coming for treatments over the last 10 years. Each time the nurses have been vile, they don’t treat you with any dignity or respect. However, on this occasion they were so nice, I almost had to check I was in the right place. My consultant is always a man who treats you with dignity and respect and it is only for that reason that I have my treatment there. I don’t know what has changed for the nurses, but honestly it made a complete difference today and I can only hope they keep it up. Thank you.

We were referred to PAU by our GP and were seen within 30 minutes of booking in. Thereafter we saw the doctor within an hour of arrival. Great service and the nurses and doctors were great with how they dealt with my 3 year old.

Emergency operation required for shoulder replacement after a fall. All staff were brilliant and the surgeon went above and beyond what would have been expected of him. Follow up treatment is still ongoing and still superb medical care!!

A relative was referred to the unit by their GP and we visited the unit on two occasions. Although the unit was busy, the staff were friendly and helpful and the system seemed to work really well. I was particularly impressed with the kind man who was cleaning the unit that day - really kind and considerate to everyone and doing his job really well.

I had an outpatient appointment last week and couldn't keep it as there was no parking available at the hospital. I allowed myself 30 minutes to park and in the end spent over an hour looking for a space and still no joy. The barrier arm was 'up' at the multi-storey car park as clearly machine broken again. Cars were piling into the multi-storey and blocking all the aisles. I couldn't find a space so drove out to Calnwood Road which used to have parking available but it is now closed to the public. I tried parking by the Hearing Centre - again full, so drove around to St Marys car park. Once again they have changed it and it is only for short-term parking for specific departments ... and it was full. Tried the car park on the opposite side to the hospital by the dual carriage way ...full. Did the whole lot again including the multi-storey and still no parking spaces available. It is stressful enough to have a hospital appointment without the additional worry of where to park. What is the point of extending and upgrading the hospital if you cannot park ? Why do the people who make these decisions not think of the practicalities of finding a place to park. I did try to phone the outpatient department to explain the problem - phone not answered ! I know the hospital will be fantastic when it is finished but unless you are prepared to pay for a taxi to drop you outside, it is not worth the stress of being unable to park your car. Hospital chief executive officer - please read this and resolve the problem.

Phoned 111 and they decided my son need to be checked out at hospital by a doctor for a head injury. They were great and booked an appointment at Luton and Dunstable hospital. When we arrived they said 111 could not book appointments and we would have to wait 3 hours stating NHS appoints were only a guide. Very disappointed with the hospital.

Absolutely top notch from entering through to my appendectomy to leaving. All staff were lovely, friendly and informative. Kept me fully informed and relaxed. Less than 12 hours from admission to Eus to having my op and drinking a cup of tea.
