Review titled Great care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Kirby - Posted on 24 April 2024
The surgeons were attentive and kind, they seemed to genuinely want to put me at ease as I was very nervous, it was my first time in surgery and emergency at that (appendectomy) They also found an ovarian cyst during CT scan and removed that, working with gyaenecology. The surgeons had some of the best bedside manner I have ever seen, I felt very cared for and safe at a time when I was extremely nervous and unsure. They ensured I had all the information I needed to make an informed decision.

Review titled Worst Hospital Ever
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Merita - Posted on 10 April 2024
I been after my surgery which I did in other hospital because I have a lot of pain. And they know what surgery I had and she told me the Dr. Is a bite take antibiotic. Today I phone to the hospital because I had a lot of pain still and they told that probably is Thrombosis came straight away. So they don’t know anything I was waiting on Monday 6 hours in Medoc Receptionist they are rude they don’t sympathize the patient. Instead to recruit staff Dr. They leave the patients to suffer there.

Review titled Late cancellation of Rhumatology Appt
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Long term patient - Posted on 23 April 2024
My 6 month appt was due this Friday. Today someone phoned and said appt cancelled, gave no explanation and no alternative date. I am gutted as I have been counting down the days as I am in a lot of discomfort so was looking forward to discussing with the Rhumatologist.

Review titled Long ‘Waiting list’ time
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 23 April 2024
Was referred to rheumatology in August 2023, it’s now April 2024 that’s 9 months later and still waiting for 1st appointment. In constant pain which has since got worse and has now put me out sick from work as now unable to do my job due to pain and lack of movement in both wrists/hands along with other multiple joint pains including knees, hips, shoulder's and back pain. The Waiting list time is ridiculous.

Review titled Most amazing maternity services
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Lillie - Posted on 18 April 2024
I was under the castle team. They were professional and all just amazing. All my scans, consultant appointments and midwife appointments were on time and everyone is so friendly. When it was time to have my son the experience during and after labour and delivery was at such a high standard they were incredible. After having 3 previous babies in other hospitals my 4th pregnancy and birth with medway has by far been the best experience. I highly recommend having your babies at medway. Every member of staff from community midwives, scanning departments, maternity triage down to the delivery and birth centre and wards were friendly professional and just went out there way to make the whole experience fantastic !

Review titled True quality care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by antonia moore - Posted on 28 March 2024
My 18 year old son needed an urgent scan for very worrying symptoms. Not only was he seen and processed through the system quickly but every individual along the way (reception, clinical associate, nurse, consultant, porter, radiographer, X-ray dept staff) was professional, kind and caring. It could not have been a better experience and I am so grateful.

Review titled A&E services
Rated 1 star out of 5

Absolutely shambolic Average waiting time 4 hours, with only 15 people in the waiting area. 3 hours down the line, someone saw my partner only for 5 minute and miraculously he's been diagnosed with stress! Got back home, his temperature spiked, I checked him with the phone torch, he has white patches on his tonsils or should we call it stress? Waste of time! You display posters around your hospital demanding respect.but you should remember respect goes both ways, You are so quick to dismiss patients immediately! Very poor indeed!

Review titled Phones not answered on wards
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 02 April 2024
Trying to get through to the wards is hopeless, they ring then cut you off if you ask the switchboard for help you might be lucky to get through or you are told you got the wrong numbers from the hospital directory stressful for family trying to find out how the patient is when they live to far away to visit

Review titled Very efficient and friendly staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Lesley - Posted on 14 March 2024
I attended today 15 March 2024 for a blood test and was greeted by friendly staff who even though I was early made me very welcome. I have difficulty with blood tests and the staff today were kind and very efficient! I only wish I could have all my blood tests taken here. Thank you.

A&E appears to be a shambles. Visited twice in a week. What could and should have been short visits turned out to take hours. First visit, by amazing ambulance staff for broken humerus took hours of being moved around and left in corridors to be told only 1 doctor in and could not have an X-ray until I had seen one. When we saw the doctor everything happened quickly. Second visit again hours to see a doctor who was more concerned about broken arm then what I went in for which was bad swelling to low arm legs and feet. To sit again for hours to see orthopaedic doctor who seemed very put out when told arm was ok but swelling problem to finally be told tablets I had been put on by Meddoc should not be taken together and the fact I had been told on first visit by a nurse to sleep sitting up and not lie down until a visit in two weeks time was probably with legs. 3 calls to Meddoc 6.5 hours or so later I was sent home and told to go to bed support arm on pillow and stop taking a tablet. What a waste of time for us and the hospital
