Review titled SAU’s Lack of care
by AG07 - Posted on 03 July 2023
I attended SAU sent up by a very caring and concerned MEDDOC doctor. I was doubled over in abdo pain and was feeling sick. This Dr came and advised that as I had been in two weeks ago (for a different condition) and everything was ok then, why am I back? I was sent away with no care or even concern! Since I have been diagnosed with cancer!

Review titled Exemplary Care
Rated 5 stars out of 5

My son attended the Children’s Emergency Department today suffering with an asthma attack and from the moment we walked into the department the care he received was amazing. They engaged with him in a way that was age appropriate, keeping him informed of everything they were doing and treated him kindness throughout. As a parent it was reassuring to see how knowledgeable and thoughtful the team were and I know if we ever found ourselves in the same situation this experience means my son would feel safe in the care of medical professionals. Thank you Medway

Review titled Amazing team
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Amanda Taylor - Posted on 05 July 2023
I was blue lighted to medway maritime hospital on the 20th June with a what turned out to be a serious infection in the blood ...I can't thank the staff enough from the paramedics, Dr's, nurses, admin staff to the cleaners and everyone in between for the care and compassion they have shown me, upon being transferred from A&E I stayed on Lister ward and once home was then under the "Smart" team and currently under "Sdec" as an out patient...All teams have been amazing not only to myself but to my family as well. Unfortunately I can't remember all the names but would like to thank each and every one of them. You are all amazing and should be commended for the work you do. Thank you xx

Review titled Waiting time of 6+ hours for ENT
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 24 June 2023
I arrived with my wife around 5pm to a&e, waited for around 15 minutes to be asked a few questions, no examination done at all, were sent to MedOcc where the waiting time was 4+ hours but we were sent to rapid review where we waited for around 30 minutes for my wife to had her temperature taken and be told we had to wait for 6+ hours to see a doctor. We pay over £700 a month for national insurance and the NHS has never been able to offer a service to me in the last 8 years, we have always had to go to private establishments to be attended. We don't want to pay national insurance anymore, it just isn't worth it. This health system is just broken, either make it all private and stop stealing my money or make it work!

Day surgery. From very first entry staff were informative, genuinely caring, friendly, helpful and on hand all the time. They made me welcome and put me at my ease from the start. They were all efficient and caring. Special praise for the team who looked after me post op until I went home. Massive thank you especially my surgeons who I know had a challenge, and she was so nice. 5 out of 5 from me! Recommend

Review titled Very good experience

I fractured my foot at work, went to a&e at about 6am. Was booked in, assessed, xrayed, treated, discharged and on my way home within an hour. Everyone from the receptionist to the doctor treated me with kindness and respect. Couldn’t fault my treatment at all, this is the 2nd time i have had to visit a&e over the last few years and both times have been very positive. I would like to give special praise to the lady who fitted me with a walking boot and crutches, she was especially kind and caring and made me feel very secure. Thanks to all at Medway a&e.

I had to go to A and E this morning and I was in and out with a diagnosis within an hour and a half. The nurse I saw couldn’t have been more lovely or helpful.

Review titled Children’s A&E
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Becca - Posted on 10 May 2023
Children’s A&E was an utter disgrace when I took my son, got there and was not even assets by a nurse for over 2 hours and was told it was due to an emergency ( that’s what A&E is for) they then sent us round to medocc which seems like they do with everyone. After waiting for 3 hours at medocc we was seen and told we needed to go back to A&E as they should have originally kept him there. The children’s A&E waiting room was absolutely filthy food, drink and empty cans all over the floor a chocking hazard for any young babies that were waiting. It would be easier to drive all the way to Maidstone if you have an emergency as Medway do not have 1 once of care in them.
