    Well done to Bardfield Ward for promptly diagnosing and treating my husband’s Sepsis Having worked at the hospital years ago I appreciate good nursing care Just a point if I may. Having visited each day I notice that the foyer is being constantly swept by a lovely conscientious gentleman. I was just wondering if some of his time it would be better to be concentrating on wiping clean door handles, lifts etc to help with the spread of pathogens. Hope you don’t mind my suggestion. Thanks

    Well what can I say but that the team who cared for me from start to finish In the Plastics / Hand Trauma Dept were amazing!On arrival, I expected to be staying overnight with my procedure taking place the following day. But no, every step of the way was a rapid one seen by the loveliest of staff & I could not have been there for more than two hours maximum, so I just want to pay tribute to all Involved as they were an absolute credit to the Broomfield Hospital, especially the two lovely ladies on the Mayflower Ward 3rd Floor who sorted me out with a nice cup of coffee, sandwich & biscuits. I have a follow up appointment this Friday 19th January & I’d love to see them again If only to thank & say hello to them? Anyway, a brilliantly ran hospital & this was only my first ever visit, I was so Impressed with the service & cleanliness!

    My husband was admitted to Broomfield as an emergency patient. We are more than happy with the care he received. Doctors and nurses were professional effecient and kind. The standard of care was very high indeed. We feel blessed

    My little girl was admitted with bronchiolitis needing oxygen. The care at phoenix ward and children's a&e was fantastic. Seen very quickly and my baby had the most amazing caring staff lookafter her. All Dr's and nurses we spoke to were extremely knowledgeable friendly and helpful. My little girl recovered quickly and I feel received brilliant and efficient care from all staff on a lovely well organised ward.

    I gave birth in January to my first baby and I want to thank the maternity unit staff for their kindness, empathy and professionalism. I come from another country and I was skeptical about giving birth here. But I was very impresse with the service. My two midwives (I can't remember their names) were my angels who assited me throughout the induction journey. I have never experienced so much pain in my life but all the sacrifices were worth because I had the opportunity to deliver a healthy baby in 24 hours due waters broken without contractions. I will never forget their kindness and sweetness in one of the hardest moment of my life. The gyenecologist and the doctor who made me the spinal injection were great too and I would like to thank them with the bottom of my heart. I was shared when they rushed me to the theatre to take my stock placenta out in less than one hour. I would also like to thank all the nurses and midwives from the postnatal ward who took care of me and my baby.

    The parking is diabolical at best what the hell is going on. You are piling on more anguish to your patients and their friends and relations trying to get them to their appointments and visiting. Time to think outside the box and come up with a solution !!!! Off site parking with free buses in for staff plus as an incentive a free meal before they start the shift where bus leaves from. Come on it can not carry on as it is. Get that box out and start thinking !!!

    I went to get a Blood test this morning at my allocated time. It was absolutely appalling the way patients were being treated. I get to reception and ignored then the phone rings and for a further few minutes I was ignored. There seemed to be only 2 staff who spent an awful lot of time talking about the traffic while the patient queue was building up. My appointment was 7:50am. I would like to know how the 8:10 patient was called in before me. Nobody actually seem to care. I had to leave as I had to be at work. I waited two weeks for this appointment and have still not had it done. I hope I don't have anything to worry about from the blood test because you can be certain Phlebotomy don't care. It absolutely disgusting. There is no reassurance for nervous patients but you will hear a good conversation about the traffic to the hospital. I have no idea why you make people book in a time when people seem to turn up when they want and go straight in then people like me are completely missed. If a member of staff cannot read a list of who is next maybe I should be grateful that they did not come near me with a needle.

    I was treated promptly with kindness and understanding. My phobia of hospitals was acknowledged and managed very well. The assessment staff, nurses, doctors, radiologists, porters and domestic staff were excellent. The equipment was good and the room clean. Since my last emergency admission in 2021 the Casualty department has improved beyond measure. The staff morale was good and I felt secure in their care. Every effort was made to enable me to return home as soon as my emergency was addressed. Communication was good throughout. Congratulations.

    I visited the Fracture Clinic as an outpatient at Broomfield Hospital today. In spite of it being a busy department I was treated with respect and listened to as an individual patient by an understanding Consultant. This reassured me going forward. All staff assisted me in a helpful manner particularly the Nurse. The atmosphere is pleasant and efficient. This has been consistently so in all my visits over more than a year both as an inpatient and an outpatient.
