  2. Review titled Emergency service shocking

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 03 November 2022

My father passed out at a local football match recently. An ambulance was called as he was unable to sit up etc. A paramedic (by phone) advised he be put in recovery position and to wait for assistance. Over 3 hours later we were advised an ambulance was still not available. We then took the decision to drive him to hospital ourselves as it was now dark and starting to rain. If he had not gone to hospital he would have suffered the effects of being too cold for too long. He is 82 years of age, not good enough.

Hello We are very disappointed to read your review and so sorry to read of your father's experience. We hope he is recovering well. We note the issues relate to a delay in the ambulance attending. Could we please ask that you share your feedback with them to ensure they can investigate and take appropriate action? If this was local to Milton Keynes this would be South Central Ambulance Service. You can email them at patientexperience@scas.nhs.uk If you need any further support please could we ask that you contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Team (PALS) to see how we can support you. PALS can be contacted as follows: pals@mkuh.nhs.uk or by telephoning 01908 995954. We wish you well Thank you The Patient and Family Experience team

  3. Review titled Great staff, shocking organisation and comms

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 October 2022

Nearly every member of staff; reception, porters, nurses, hcas, F1s... everyone was lovely, but the organisation and meandering path through the system was a complete nightmare. Get to see someone, wait hours, see the next person, wait hours, get to the point of being discharged.... wait hours. Although I was officially discharged i left without any documentation, without any idea of the next steps. Throughout the whole experience I was left with no clue what was going on. A terrible experience unwittingly delivered by obviously caring dedicated people. Also, the whole place looks very shabby - only a small thing, but if you're already feeling terrible, pleasant surroundings go a long way to help you feel a little better.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I went to A and E after a fall at home, the department was very busy but all the staff were very helpful and caring, I saw a Doctor after 2 hours and had an Xray, while I was waiting I was offered sandwiches which was really appreciated. Thankyou to all the staff for making the experience as bearable as possible.

  5. Review titled Long wait

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Zeshan - Posted on 29 September 2022

At least hospital can implement token/number system to make patient aware where they are jn the queue. Hours of waiting when you cant move from chair and staff taking long time between patients. Thr hospital is totally in shambolic state.
