  1. Review titled Great staff, shocking organisation and comms

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 October 2022

Nearly every member of staff; reception, porters, nurses, hcas, F1s... everyone was lovely, but the organisation and meandering path through the system was a complete nightmare. Get to see someone, wait hours, see the next person, wait hours, get to the point of being discharged.... wait hours. Although I was officially discharged i left without any documentation, without any idea of the next steps. Throughout the whole experience I was left with no clue what was going on. A terrible experience unwittingly delivered by obviously caring dedicated people. Also, the whole place looks very shabby - only a small thing, but if you're already feeling terrible, pleasant surroundings go a long way to help you feel a little better.

I went to A and E after a fall at home, the department was very busy but all the staff were very helpful and caring, I saw a Doctor after 2 hours and had an Xray, while I was waiting I was offered sandwiches which was really appreciated. Thankyou to all the staff for making the experience as bearable as possible.

  3. Review titled Long wait

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Zeshan - Posted on 29 September 2022

At least hospital can implement token/number system to make patient aware where they are jn the queue. Hours of waiting when you cant move from chair and staff taking long time between patients. Thr hospital is totally in shambolic state.

  5. Review titled Shockingly bad. Shambolic

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Ryan - Posted on 09 September 2022

Impossible to contact anyone, appointments booked and cancelled without informing me. A consultant who was almost impossible to understand. Have called every number on the website, been transferred (by the operator) to multiple departments, and no one ever answers - have spent over 10 hours on hold in total over the past week. Possibly the worst service I've ever experienced. I've given up...

After speaking to 111 i was advised to attend accident and emergency Upon arrival at A&E i was told that they would not see me and I should just contact my GP monday morning After being in intense pain all weekend and waiting for the advice of 111 to be refused even entry as the ‘Senior Sister’ sat at the front decided it was urgent enough was beyond upsetting

  8. Review titled 5 star care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Clarisse - Posted on 22 August 2022

Having been very apprehensive to give birth in hospital, I couldn’t have had a more positive experience. Every member of staff looked after us with such great care and attention. We were supported in all of our decisions and treated as individuals. Can’t speak highly enough of the staff that were involved (more than 20 total) as words don’t cut it. Facilities were also great.

  9. Review titled Well done orthopaedic out patient clinic!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 19 July 2022

My appointment in orthopaedics was for a review arranged by Hand Therapy following a wrist fracture. It was the hottest day of the year, the Fracture Clinic was really busy and appointments were running up to 2 hours late. Despite this the Dept Sister on duty did her best to keep the patient flow going, she came into the waiting area and apologised for the delays. She also arranged for anyone likely to have to pay an unexpectedly large car park fee to have this voided. Her courtesy was really appreciated by us all. All the staff worked so hard, efficiently and courteously under really trying circumstances. Well done, the dept was a positive advert for the hospital and the NHS operating as best they could.

  10. Review titled Great experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Rita - Posted on 24 July 2022

I Recently had a hip replacement. Even though it was obvious there was a shortage of staff I was looked after very well. I felt very safe in my surgeons teams hands and everything was explained to me. The hospital was very modern and clean and everyone was very friendly. I was in ward 12. I only stayed one night as it was not necessary for me to be there any longer. Thank you all very much for making this is such a pleasant experience.
