After arriving at 9.30pm got to see doctor about 11.30pm all was ok till then after he told me i should not come to a&e thats why there was a q after numbing my eye he said it was scratched gave me antibotics and sent me out even after telling him something was stuck behind eyelid he saud no its not! Next morning still in pain i went to barking walk centre nurse in triage called a staff nurse in turned the eyelid could see the foreign body and removed it straight away all within 20 minutes .Feel let down by moorfields people have bad days but should not be rude i have been there before but never been treated like this ps 10/10 barking walkin centre and there happy to see you staff!

  2. Review titled Preassessment morefield city road Discriminate patients

Rated 1 star out of 5

i went to the pre-assessment department of cataract surgery. the receptionist, a young african girl, was very rude. patients are given time from 9 o'clock, but staff do not start work until nine thirty and just enjoy themselves. if any patient says that, they all become togather and misbehave with the patient and put the patient in trouble, such as trying to delay the operation by asking for unnecessary investigations to the gp and other hospitals. management of the hospital needs to check from nine am in the morning what staff are doing and train them to be kind to diversity. staff don't know any respect, and great discrimination occurs as they are protected by nhs. just check and rectify we pay tax and deserve some sort of timely service and respect not negligence and discrimination by hospital staff.

The staff are lovely but it was unbearably hot in there and not enough seating in the patients waiting area.

I found the Glaucoma clinic to be so efficient. The staff were all very professional and put me at my ease. The gentleman conducting the Fields test was extremely patient and reassuring and made the experience far more manageable than previous Fields tests.

Visit here a few time a year with my 91 year old mother. The clinic waiting time is generally approx three hours. Too many patients, not enough staff. Also no provision to see a frail, ill 91 year old any quicker than a 21 year old. Staff are good, but the wait times are dismal.

A&E will only see patients who live north of the river. They identified I had an eye emergency but turned me away and told me to go to my local hospital even though Moorfields is closer. What kind of A&E turns people away because they live in a different borough? Irresponsible. I'm lucky to still have my sight but no thanks to them. Avoid

  10. Review titled Very efficient and very kind

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Mrs C A Taylor - Posted on 08 October 2023

Odd eye symptoms. Staff were all very kind and helpful from the Security guards, Receptionists to the triage nurses, eye nurse and the Doctor. I was very anxious but the eye nurse in particular was so professional and reassuring. Not allowed to name her so I hope she reads this review. Hospital is very clean
