  1. Review titled Can't fault the care I received

by Geordie lass 51 - Posted on 01 November 2022

I can’t fault the care I received at the Day Surgery Centre Musgrove. From the moment I arrived I was made to feel welcome and looked after. The nurses, surgeons and anaesthetist all took the time to listen to me and reassure me. Outstanding care, please pass on my thanks to the whole team.

  2. Review titled Cataract operation

by Robert Paul Johns - Posted on 12 October 2022

I had my cataract operation on Monday 10th Oct at Musgrove. The service was excellent from the receptionist who made you feel at ease and not rushed and all the way through the process, the nursing staff where most helpful, the anaesthetist was amazing and understood my problems with reflux and choking when lying flat, she positioned me with great care and concern and followed the whole process through to the end, certainly not just a job for her defiantly a vocation ,then on to the surgeon and his team who was most understanding and did care about my welfare ,the operation was very silk and over in 15/20 mins , a most professional team . I highly recommend this department. Thank you.

  3. Review titled Never once did anything seem too much for anyone

    by frostqy38 - Posted on 26 October 2022

My daughter had a terrible episode of croup. She was brought in by ambulance to A & E. They moved us to resus. She was given 3 nebulisers, moved to Oak ward, but an hour after moved to high dependency on Acorn ward and given adrenaline more steroid and more nebulisers. Finally after over 24 hours we were moved to a room and left to rest! The whole experience has been made so much easier by everyone involved, from the call handler, the ambulance crew, the A & E staff, the nurse in resus looking after us, bringing me a coffee, the Oak ward staff keeping an eye on her and the staff looking after me on Acorn ward when she was technically glued to me! Making sure I had fluids and food! Never once did anything seem too much for anyone. Thank you so much for everything!

Dear Frostqy38 My name is Dr Holly and I am one of the members of the paediatric team who responds to feedback given by patients and their families about their stay with us. Thank you for your wonderful feedback. I am so pleased to know you received such consistent kindness and support from all the healthcare teams involved in looking after your daughter, right from the very beginning! Appreciating your admission must have been very distressing for you and your daughter, especially with the need to move to HDU for escalated care, I am happy all members of staff were able to provide you all the support you both needed. I hope your daughter is much better now. Thank you again for giving your time in providing your feedback. I will share your thoughts with all the healthcare teams. Our staff, across all departments, work extremely hard to provide the best of care for patients and families and your kind words will be hugely appreciated. Thank you Dr Holly

  4. Review titled Professional attitude and kindness

    by peterf02 - Posted on 14 October 2022

Numb legs, acute back pain and lack of sensation in both legs. The treatment I got from the medical and surgical teams here was stunning. The MRI scan of my back was frightening. The risks of surgery were explained to me clearly and without pulling any punches. Well ahead of scehdule I am up and about making great progress . All told I cannot thank the staff of Musgrove Park Hospital enough for their professional attitude and kindness at a time of extreme anxiety. Thank You ALL

  5. Review titled Beacon Centre Radiotherapy Team

by Limestonecowboy - Posted on 10 January 2023

Diagnosed with prostate cancer requiring treatment in 2022. Assessed by Beacon centre Registrar; sent for CT scan at the Blackbrook facility and a Bone scan in the X-Ray dept. at MPH. Within a short period scheduled for 20 days outpatient radiotherapy sessions at MPH Beacon Centre. Amazingly good level of care throughout my treatment. The staff are fantastic: friendly, caring, professional and always asking if there are any issues you want help on. The care support team are helpful and enormously re-assuring. I can't express how much I appreciate the care I was - and still am being - given. The NHS at its very finest. Thank you.

by Michael Scott - Posted on 24 September 2022

I have just returned home after vascular surgery and I cannot rate Musgrove Park highly enough, the nursing staff were exemplary (I was in the high dependency unit while I recovered) I have to say also that the hospital food was extremely good.

  7. Review titled Cared for beautifully

    by Ellie118 - Posted on 09 September 2022

My son had his tonsils and adanoids out, and has been struggling with pain . My son was not eating and drinking, and then stopped taking medication. The care was exceptional from arrival at A&E, and on PAU the nurses and doctors could not have done enough. The PAU nurses were so kind and patient. My son was checked on regularly and just cared for beautifully.

  8. Review titled Exceptional Practice

by Geoffrey Jennings - Posted on 09 October 2022

Attended the A&E with shoulder and neck pain after a fall, was fast tracked through triage and Sent through to Trauma Ed for CT scan and MRI. Diagnosed with an injury to my spinal cord I would appreciate if my appreciation could be relayed to the ED department for their care and attention during my stay. From the receptionist to the doctors and ED staff the care I received was excellent. The department was under great pressure and very busy when I arrived but their care and reassurance was outstanding.
