Review titled Great Service
by Anonymous - Posted on 19 January 2024
Attended for a neck injury at about 6:30am. All staff very pleasant and professional. Was nurse triaged, Ct scanned and had a doctor consultation. Was home by 10am after a 30 min drive. So 4 hours in total, door to door. So 10 out 10 to the staff and Musgrove. Thank you.

Review titled Quick and efficient
by Maggie Veysey - Posted on 26 January 2024
My son fractured his ankle seen in A&E - got in and out in 2 hours walking boot and home. Then review 1 week later and in and out in 1 hour. Fabulous speed and accuracy. Couldn’t be better.

Review titled Kind and friendly staff
by corridordh39 - Posted on 08 January 2024
Came in with my daughter as she had really bad chicken pox but that's not the point, the point is the staff was absolutely amazing and I couldn't praise them enough. I think they all deserve a pay rise. I just wanted to say how much me and my partner appreciate the kind and friendly staff ! You honestly won't find better healthcare professionals than the staff in the children's department of Musgrove!

I'm sorry to hear that your daughter has been unwell with Chicken pox, I hope she's feeling better now. Review titled Unfit for animals
by Anonymous - Posted on 01 February 2024
I was admitted to hospital over a week ago and was moved onto Conservators Ward. I reported a blocked toilet to the nurse. I was then informed its been out of action for over a week. However this hasn't stopped ill patients from using it. It's now over flowing with human examen and urine. Surely patients health means something but not on this ward

Review titled Treated like a family member
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 26 February 2024
I had to go to musgrove hospital as I had a very infected left elbow, ended up having to have surgery. The staff before during and after the surgery were brilliant, they explained everything to me and my family about what the operation and recovery would be. All the staff the nurses, doctors, catering and cleaners, I mean everybody I saw for those 6 days treated me like a member of their family, I was very anxious about being in hospital but everybody made me feel like your in the best of hands. Being in a new house and new hospital and not knowing the place or the staff, I was really impressed by all the friendly/knowledgeable staff. And they all made feel much calmer about the operation. I wish I could remember all the names of the staff who looked after me during the day and night. The staff at night did their almost not to wake me up at night to give me my antibiotics but always ended up having a good chat for a while to distract from the medicine. Can't say a bad word about my experience, other than having to sort the district nurse, which they said they would do, so my daughter had to organise it and was very stressful as my local GP didn't have all the hospital paperwork, so it took a 2-3 days to finally have the nurses to come round and change my dressings twice a week. A big thank you to all the staff, I appreciate all that you did for me during my time with you.

Review titled Really impressed with the service
by Philip628 - Posted on 05 January 2024
Really impressed with the service I received recently in the Audiology department at Musgrove Park Hospital. The Audiologist I saw was excellent and explained everything really well - he was friendly and knowledgeable and is a credit to the Trust.

Review titled I had an infection and was very poorly
by AdventureArthur - Posted on 15 January 2024
I had to come into hospital twice and the second time I stayed and had to have an IV put in. It felt really scary but my daddy cuddled me and the nurses were great. Afterwards I got to choose a dinosaur and went to my own room on acorn ward.

Dear AdventureArthur Thank you so much for sharing your story, I hope you are feeling better now. I'm so pleased that the nurses took such great care of you and your daddy, hopefully that made it a little less scary. We are really lucky here on the Children's Unit that we get lots of lovely present donations, I'm really glad that you get to take home and look after one of our dinosaurs. Thank you once again for taking to time to send your thanks Kind regards Ang:-)

Review titled a&e great service
by helen kirkham - Posted on 02 December 2023
Just to say, I went into Musgrove for an eye query. I was not convinced it was an emergency but reading up on inflammation of the eye and ulcers that cause blindness - convinced me to go to A&e. I did wait almost 3 hours (for something that might be nothing), but after saying to the receptionist I don’t think the time is warranted for something that might be minimal, she reminded me we only have one set of eyes! The wait turned into 3 hours, but glad I was convinced to stay, and had the most funniest, kindest up-spirited doctor who performed an in-depth eye examination to rule out anything sinister- and also have me antibiotics. I’m glad I stuck by the timings (noting that there was a young baby needing attention, 3 elderly people bleeding and in wheelchairs), well done NHS and thank you for the care. I’ve been in major hospitals in the south west due to a sick daughter - and Musgrove always astounds me out of them all with their caring, pleasant and more importantly efficient staff . Thanks again

Review titled Excellent service

Went for xray, the date had been changed and I had not received notification. The receptionist sorted it out for me and I was seen as I had expected. The xray department is very well run. Thank you for an excellent service.
