Review titled Excellent treatment, left confused
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by K clarke - Posted on 17 October 2024
Treated by numerous consultants, and hospital staff. Felt cared for to the best of their abilities. After being treated for two years, i was discharged, but no body informed me. I sat at home waiting for an appointment to had my 2nd cataract done. And when a rang up to see why i wasnt getting an appointment. I was informed i was discharged. Also i was awaiting a cvi for vision, which consultant informed me, it wasnt for him to do. See youre doctor. My doctors say, see my optician, my optician says see the hospital ophthalmologist . So now i am really confused with limited vision, no cvi and still wondering how i can acquire one. Anyone know?.

Review titled Fantastic hospital
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Have been using this hospital for years since my wife's cancer treatment started, tonight we ended up in A +E and had the pleasure of being looked after by R××××l, the level of care and compassion was brilliant, people complain about the NHS but seeing the staff looking after other people during our visit I have to say I'm impressed. Thank you guy's for all you do it is much appreciated.

Review titled Outstanding Care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Linda Morrissey - Posted on 19 March 2024
My grandson born on 8 March 2024 had to be admitted to neonatal ICU two days after his birth. He was rushed into the neonatal ICU as his weight had plummeted and there were other complications. The team of doctors, midwives nurse practitioner and the lead male Consultant were absolutely fantastic. All the tests and scans were carried out and the care and support given to my grandson and daughter was outstanding. I have nothing but praise thanks and gratitude for what they did on that unit. Baby is now back home after a week of wonderful care.

Review titled Wonderful in Every Way
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 05 March 2024
When my partner was taken ill everything about the NHS worked wonderfully. The 999 call handler, the prompt arrival of the paramedics despite our remote location, their care and the transfer to A&E were everything anyone could have hoped for. Care and attention to detail in A&E were superb. Despite this being in the early hours overnight and A&E being very busy, X-rays and scans were done smoothly and quickly and a diagnosis requiring surgery was arrived at. The surgery was completed successfully later the same morning. Post-op care in the Surgical Decision Unit was professional and personal in every way. I was left in awe by the, professionalism and joined-up care we received all the way through. All this in such a highly pressured environment. The CQC rating of ‘Good’ for Musgrove is, to say the least, an understatement.

Review titled Amazing Service
Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attend A&E with an ongoing issue and was treated with so much care and attention to detail. The 2 ladies that treated me were excellent and so helpful. I’m really grateful to them both for being so nice and kind. Unfortunately I don’t know their names but they were both average height and blonde with both their husbands being in the police.

Review titled Feeling guilty
by Dawn Brown - Posted on 17 February 2024
My husband had been admitted to Sheppard ward on 14/2/24 where he had received such amazing care from the wonderful nurses there. , however yesterday he was informed around 10am that he was going to be discharged I arrived around 11 am . He had lunch and more bloods taken , the doctor then told him to make sure his bags were all packed and he would be going home after lunch ! From that moment there was no more communication , my husband was sat dressed and ready to go until around 6pm after being given another meal he was told he would have to stay another night as the bloods had not come back . This upset my husband so much and he felt he had no choice but to discharge himself . He felt and still does feel incredibly guilty for doing that to the nurse who had cared for him so well ! He has even had to leave hospital without the medication he needs for his condition to improve ! If more communication had been given during the afternoon he may well have been in a different frame of mind . A disappointment ending to what had been such wonderful care and not a step we wanted to take

by Mary Grant - Posted on 04 February 2024
My sister was referred to hospital eye clinic by her optician and received call from the eye clinic later same say offering appointment next day. I accompanied her to hospital where she was promptly seen by members of the Eye Clinic Team having various scans etc. swiftly followed by being seen by Doctor resulting in being offered and receiving laser treatment on her eye. Excellent care all round from very caring practitioners. Thank you.

Review titled Short stay on oak ward
by lacertare38 - Posted on 24 January 2024
We were thoroughly looked after from PAU to Oak Ward. Lovely, friendly staff. The Dr's took various amounts of time to get to us. The wait did make me anxious. Overall very positive.
