  1. Review titled Unhelpful at reception

    by stonehb38 - Posted on 22 August 2022

The reception are totally rude and unhelpful! AFter 4 hours I had not yet been seen. They then told me my name had been called, yet I was sat patiently the whole time and not heard my name at all. I approached reception and said, I’ve been sat waiting in front of you. They said that doesn’t matter and I would be booked back in and would need to wait the whole time again! What a joke! I told them I had a baby at home who is breastfed and I needed to get back to them - not even been acknowledged!

  2. Review titled Opthalmology Dept

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by T Guise - Posted on 20 September 2022

Have to attend monthly for injections into the eye. Was very impressed with the treatment I got throughout the appointment. I was reassured by each section I visited and finally arrived at the eye injection dept in the Bailey Suite. The team in there were incredibly efficient, like a well oiled machine, were kind, helpful and informed me every step of the way during the procedure. They were just brilliant.

  3. Review titled lack of information in unfamiliar area, need to travel?

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 August 2022

Having been required to drive from Stafford to an unfamiliar location in Wednesfield, relying on a Sat. Nav. to get me there, I was at a complete loss as to where to park in such a restricted area. Apparently there is parking at the rear of the Ashmore Park Centre, but no signs or details in the appointment letter. I have no issues with the staff but why are there not clinics arranged in Stafford?

  4. Review titled Awful experience, staff discussing patients data.

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 July 2022

sdec department is awful! I had nurses discussing my data in front of other patients. 9&half hour wait to then be told by a doctor I don’t have a temperature yet I still feel so poorly. The one receptionist was rude also, showed no compassion and it was quite clear I was in a panicked state. I understand the NHS are under a lot of pressure but last night was appalling.

  5. Review titled Excellent treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 July 2022

I have been into Ward B15 for a Pacemaker change today and although I am a very nervous patient, everyone from the receptionist, nurses and surgeon, made this as easy as possible. They were all willing to listen to my fears and answer any questions I had. I highly recommend this ward as everyone is very kind. Thanks to everyone.

  7. Review titled Thank you to a fantastic team

    by dracobj69 - Posted on 18 July 2022

I have just had an Ablation procedure. I came in for the pre op a few weeks ago and the operation two days later. Because of a little issue I had to go to ward B14 until I was released two days after that. I would like to thank everyone for the help, kindness and care that I received. Not 1 member of staff, no matter what department they worked for, could have done more and nothing was too much trouble. Please make sure they know what a good and what a fantastic team they are. Many many thanks.

  8. Review titled Rude staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Asyia - Posted on 30 August 2022

My nephew went into shock after hearing the sad news that his father passed away. He was taken by a wheelchair my a doctor to A and E. Their was a doctor at A and E who aggressively pulled his eye opened and shouted across that he not an emergency case and dragged his wheelchair throw him out into the waiting area. Very rude not duty of care. You can't have people like that in the hospital. Amendments needed. Very upsetting and disgusted behaviour.

  9. Review titled Stay in the maternity ward

by Tony Cee - Posted on 28 October 2022

I am a first-time mom who gave birth earlier this year. I gave birth in the delivery suite and the midwife there was lovely. I felt secure and cared for. It changed when I got transferred to the maternity ward. As soon as we arrived in the unit, they asked my husband to leave immediately as I was in a bay where everyone had pending COVID swab result. I was alone with my baby and needed to go to the bathroom, so I asked the midwife if she could look after my baby for a while. She responded sarcastically that with all the babies around, no one would want to take my baby. No assurance/empathy from her or whatsoever. During the night I kept asking for pain relief as I was feeling a lot of pain from my stitches, they would come but would never come back to give me one or explain why they're not giving me any. This happened 3 times through the night as I was trying to endure the pain since no one was coming back after asking what I needed. The students were the ones coming and I didn't even see the midwife until the start and end of their shift. I also told the midwife that I am concerned if my baby is getting enough from me because I don't have any idea what I was doing with breastfeeding. She told me she will come and try to teach, but it didn't happen. The midwife in the discharge unit was even shocked that no one in the ward had taught me how to properly breastfeed my baby. When they told me I was going to get discharged early in the morning, all I felt was relief. All I can say is, my stay in the ward was the most depressing moment in my life. Worst experience.
