by Stuart Roberts - Posted on 05 July 2023

Had Trapeziectomy to my left thumb at Cannock hospital. I was treated extremely well by all staff from the pre op, to surgery and to discharge. All the staff were polite and professional and kept me informed at all times of my progress. No complaints at all

  3. Review titled I have no words to express of a great experience I had

    by Andrea321 - Posted on 12 July 2023

I visited today A&E kids with my little boy , we came because paramedics wore concerned about his breathing and suggested to see a doctor at New Cross. I was seen straight away , from the front desk super understanding and quick , triage was amazing and I could really tell they know how to deal with little ones. I have been in this A&E a couple of times and I felt like I was in a completely different place. We had water and something to eat for my little one and his sister from the kitchen. We had a nurse always checking in and the doctor also every hour listening to his chest. We also had the luck to watch lilo & stich on the kid's robot /tv. I think on todays shift there was definitely some kind of magic happening because our doctor and every person we crossed made our wait very pleasant. Thank you so much , and thank you for choosing this carrier to help people on need. PS: Where could I donate some kids dvds ?

  4. Review titled Kind and thoughtful care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Louise Thompson - Posted on 04 July 2023

I brought my mum in for a check up with the haematology nurse today as she has a blood disorder. It was the first time we had met this nurse and she was really helpful and took time to get to know my my. I mentioned that mum had developed a sore on her ankle and she suggested a referral to occupational therapy. Before we left she made sure we had all the contact details we needed and a blood form for mum’s next blood test. Nothing was too much trouble. By the time we got home we had a call from the triage nurse who had received the OT referral. He discussed mums risk of pressure areas and ordered her a pressure relief cushion and mattress topper which should come in the next few days. He also gave me a number to call for district nurses if there are any further problems. I was really impressed at the kindness and professionalism that we’ve experienced today.

  7. Review titled What a fantastic National Health service we have

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 July 2023

Relative experienced heart problems on the m54 motorway. Paramedics responded and did an excellent job, at arrival at hospital he was told he was having a severe heart attack and only had a 1 in 3 chance of survival unless he agreed to go to theatre and have a procedure done . They didn't even take his shoes off but got him straight in and got to it. The fantastic service saved his life, can’t praise them enough. Thank you

  8. Review titled very poor radiology examination

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 29 June 2023

The staff member intentionally hurt me whilst undertaking the examination. When I expressed to her that it was extremely painful she was unfriendly and told me everyone experienced the same. I will think twice about having it done again and question the staff member. Thank fully not everyone is unkind but this experience did not live up to my expectation of a caring profession.

  10. Review titled Excellent health service

    by scorpio54 - Posted on 13 June 2023

The health service was excellent. All staff were exceedingly polite. They put me at my ease. The consultant explained the Dupuytrens fasciectomy procedure in full detail before the operation which was very helpful. The anaesthetist was also very helpful and her explanation was very clear and the anaesthetic worked perfectly. All nursing staff were very caring. The pre-operation interview was very thorough and explanatory. The operation went according to plan.
