Review titled Very considerate and understanding
by Asnernal6 - Posted on 01 September 2023
I suffer from heart problems I have a fibrillator , an I have been in an out of hospital for the 17 years with my condition. I was recently referred to the cardiac rehab service to see the physio after consultation with nurse at The centre manor park . I have decided to take up the Cardiac exercise class to make my heart strong . The Physio explained diet, exercises routine which I had been doing wrong. Her approach was kind, very considerate and understanding

My husband was admitted on and off between June 2023 to September 2023 and yes their were long wait in A&E yes the nurses on the wards perhaps weren’t always as attentive as perhaps anyone would like but to be honest they are beyond stretched to their limits also the doctor were few and far between but all I can say is they are all doing their best so I wish people would be kind. All the staff did their best my husband was transferred to Royal London on 5th September before he came home on 7th September unfortunately he passed away at home on Sunday 10th September I just want to Thank You all for doing the best you could in very difficult circumstances you are heroes to me and I thank you from the bottom of my heart

Review titled Rude and uncaring staff
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Sara - Posted on 05 August 2023
The staff at the reception is extremely rude and unprofessional. I came to a&e for a broken finger and they were chatting with each other and said I should have waited at the entrance (because they were still chatting). After one minute, when they finished their conversation, they called me at the reception. The lady at the reception was extremely rude and dismissive. I felt like I was bothering here. Also other nurses and staff is very rude, they treat you like you are a number. Awful experience, will never come here again

Review titled Would not recommend
Rated 1 star out of 5

Was told to come here by a paramedic via the phone, and once we was seen by a nurse at a and e we got bombarded with questions about why we came here and why we didn’t go to a local hospital. Furthermore even after saying a paramedic had referred us here she continuously blamed us as if it we had known it was better to go to a local hospital. I understand her point about the hospital having records for the patient however we’ve come down to solve a problem but yet feels like we’ve just disturbed them and added on a huge weight onto their shoulders. Another colleague was very dismissive when it came to waiting. Asked a simple question and instead of being nice about they continued to walk off and said to wait. No sympathy whatsoever and just wanted a slight update. I approached nicely but didn’t feel it was reciprocated as it should’ve been by nhs staff.

Review titled Very slow service for kids
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 24 August 2023
Reach hospital 8.45 keep in waiting until 3am to see a doctor for my 3 yrs old kids. Not even a proper sofa bed for the kids to relax. Only 3-4 kids waiting in the waiting room. Doctor taking 1 hour to see 1 kids. Very shameful for such service. Always under staff. Not priority service for babies and kids.

Review titled Very dissatisfied
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Ciprian Matei - Posted on 11 July 2023
I went to A&E at midnight due to unbearable pain in my lower abdomen, which I thought could either be apendicitis or kidney stones, as I was passing blood in my urine the previous day. The department was busy and the receptionists were very rude, telling me that I’m gonna have to wait 7 hours to see a doctor (no greeting, no politeness, nothing). I had vitals and blood taken within an hour max but then ended up waiting over 10 hours to see a doctor. In the meantime absolutely no one even acknowledged you, so unless you’re constantly asking around you won’t find out anything. I understand that A&E is busy, but waiting 10-12 hours is just ridiculous. In addition, the NHS overall is disappointing, as this could’ve been avoided was I able to get an urgent GP appointment and then an urgent referral to the Imaging department, as I needed a scan.

Review titled Uncompassionate and extremely inefficient
Rated 1 star out of 5
by O Khan - Posted on 10 July 2023
The A&E and Urgent Care Centre receptionist staff need to be retrained on showing compassion and empathy. The staff treat you as they're handing out charity to the patients and doing them a favour! The Health Service is not free! It's funding by our tax money and making us feel unwelcome and a burden is despicable. If your receptionist staff cannot be empathetic, they should not be working in the health sector; please hire accordingly. Secondly, I waited for more than three hours and left without being seen. Why can't the Trust not be transparent about their wait times; please look at the North Middlesex Trust that update their A&E wait times in real time. Please make use of technology available to you. I've seen people waiting for more than four hours without being served, and most of them had musculoskeletal injuries; why can't these cases be seen in a more efficient manner? This will reduce overall wait times, too! Please make your service better; I understand your resources are overstretched but there's so much inefficiency in your processes that, if rooted out, can vastly improve the service you provide.
