    The antenatal and delivery unit today provided us with exceptional service. All the staff and particularly the midwives were extremely polite and supremely professional and a credit to the NHS and moreover a credit to society. Knowledgeable, caring, empathetic, highly professional are just a few of the adjectives to describe them. 5 star service and highly recommended - thank you very much!

    I was referred to General Surgery by my GP and within 2 months I haven't received any communication for an appointment by them. I tried to call too but without any success. Absolutely no attention to the patients.

    My daughter was born at Newham Hospital in October last year. My experience with the hospital was unforgettable, more so indescribable. If anyone would have told me my labour journey would have been that great I wouldn’t have believed them. I remember everyone scaring me about labour prior to giving birth but the NHS staff at Newham were brilliant. I felt blessed to be in the presence of such supportive and caring staff. I look back and think about the day and nights I saw staff running around patients to make them comfortable. The staff here are completely underrated… I cannot describe in words how pleased I was with the care received. Thank you so much for helping me on my journey to motherhood. Unfortunately soon after Maya was born my Dad passed away and my thought of giving the hospital staff 5* feedback took a back seat so I apologise. I would like to thoroughly thank the staff in Larch antenatal, Labour and Birth units. You were all immensely supportive through my Labour journey and post. I could see how hard you all worked to help patients despite some unhappy patients you all pushed through to provide the best care for everyone. I feel privileged to have been able to experience this and I cannot wait to have my second child. Thank you!

    Myself and my partner arrived at 10am on the 1st of September now 28 hours being here and she still has not received anything to begin the induction as apparently waiting for a bed however other woman have had their induction and been taken to the same place were supposedly waiting for a bed they don't seem to overly care at all and have simply said they have done all they can we have no information when they will be starting the induction or how long we have to wait before being seen even though this was a scheduled event. This is not acceptable they won't even begin the induction and we were told someone was coming to talk to us and that is also yet to happen if myself and my partner have another child we will be completely avoiding this hospital after this experience

  5. Review titled Poor bathroom drainage system

    Tayberry ward. Bathroom smells like raw sawage. Medical team aware but not doing anything about it. Patients have no choice but to use it. Maintenance department need to look at the root cause. Smell is bearable but need to be sorted.

    Waited more than 7 hours for my 16 year old daughter. They put her with the adult waiting. Doctors/practitioners working at a snale pace and on two separate occasions when a patient has clearly left the A&E doctors just return to their room and still take another 30 mins to call next patient. Is this why the NHS is in this state?

    I attended A&E yesterday. Every member of staff I saw was polite, professional and caring. It wasn’t too busy and I was seen within a couple of hours. So I was very satisfied. My only problem is I was sent a text from barts health asking for my feedback but my sim doesn’t deliver replies to five digit texts. This has happened before and, although this may not be the appropriate platform to say this, I can’t find any other way to contact somebody about this. It’s frustrating as I like to praise good service.

    Last September I was referred to haematology dept. The lady consultant who dealt with my case was extremely thorough and, where certain queries were raised which didn't come under her dept., she referred me to the relevant dept or my GP. She was professional , kind and helpful and made me feel at ease and able to ask questions. She arranged an x-ray and CT scan to clarify some queries, and I have nothing but praise for the way she dealt with my case. Well done and thank you.

    My experience with the gynaecological department was regrettably unpleasant. From scheduling difficulties to a notable lack of communication and empathy from the staff (bordering on patronizing during phone interactions), the overall process proved frustrating. Despite the significance of the matter, the level of care and attention to detail appeared deficient across all levels, from the front desk to the nurses and consultants. I earnestly hope for swift improvements to ensure a smoother and more compassionate experience for patients. Additionally, I must emphasize that the doctor's incompetency and poor communication resulted in delays in my referral to the assisted reproductive unit at another hospital. This level of service is utterly unacceptable.

    Nurses were highly compassionate and the triage system was highly organised. I felt heard and the staff was attentive and was highly proficient when carrying out tasks such as blood test etc. I travelled to the hospital which took over an hour but the care given here was superb and I would make the journey again if I was to require A and E services.
