    I was admitted with a chest infection , low oxygen levels and asthma. I was very well looked after by all of the staff in the respiratory ward. I was in hospital for 9 days and nothing was too much trouble.. Great staff and very friendly..

    Just wanted to say a huge thank you to the staff on sac ward and firth 8 ward. The staff go above and beyond and always with a smile. I can’t thank them enough for the great care I received.

    Ward staff were/are appauling. Late is giving out pain relief ending in patients being in severe agony is disgusting. They have attitude problems. If you don't care then change careers!!! I will never go to this hospital ever again the sooner my loved one is out thats it

    My husband split his head open and was taken by ambulance to hospital and from the very beginning the care was marvellous .To say it was such a deep wound it has healed great and after only two weeks is hardly recognisable .The young doctor and nurse who attended him and stitched his head was so attentive and caring Everyone was marvellous from beginning to end Thankyou so much . Doreen helliwell Colin’s wife.

    After a horrendous experience at the Hallamshire can I send grateful thanks to the more sensible, kind and understanding teams at A&E on the evening shift on the 23rd of May and the outstanding care given by the Sdec team on the 24th. Your all Angels, pity others can't follow your lead.

    I was discharged from orthopaedics in may after having toe surgery.I am currently still having problems with heeling process and having a lot of problems with pain in the toe and the bone.I am currently waiting for a plastic surgery appointment but heard nothing yet.still having on going bleeding from the wound but pain is the worst and currently taking really strong pain medication.

    We are sorry to hear that you recently experienced a very long wait at our A&E department. We aim to see patients as quickly as possible and prioritise based on urgency, however at very busy times this can mean that some patients have a long wait, which we are sorry about.     Been to see my consultant today 3rd April and not very happy has my wound has opened up and been like this for 3 weeks.i had a infection 3 weeks back and my skin was tight on the foot it’s opened the wound .it’s sore painful but been like that for 2 months.i have been off work for 11 weeks and my consultant wanted to put a cast on but I am back at work all so under plastic surgery too and saw the surgeon last week and has told me if not getting any better in a few months then contact them.i have had 2 operations on this toe and both have gone the same way .not happy at all.

    Just spoke to a gentleman to order new cpap equipment. He was most helpful with arranging that and indeed arranging for a review of my condition. Much appreciated. This department has been excellent every time I have needed them.

    I had a bypass in November 2021 at Doncaster. Since moved to Sheffield. Doncaster were amazing and i cannot fault them one bit. Absolute hero's the lot of them. However the same cannot be said for Sheffield. I have never been spoken to the way i have today. I have been calling for 3 and a half weeks to speak to someone as im in a lot of pain, bloating, constant upset stomach and pain that feels like i have been winded that lasts all day that is crippling to the point that i am scrunched in a ball on the floor, sobbing gasping for air. I have not had one call back despite leaving numerous messages on their dedicated phone number, no reply to emails and the lines are never picked up. I had the misfortune of getting through to a person today who spoke to me like utter rubbish. I explained that i had been referred by the GP given the move and she said i hadn't and get back on to the GP. So for the last 3 and a half weeks why did no one else tell me this. I explained i think the problem may be my gallbladder and she was so rude. Clearly she has no clue that those that have weight loss surgery are prone to having issues with their gall bladder. She continued to speak over me, rude, ignorant and arrogant and just put the phone down on me. Is this how you treat patients. Thank god i didn't have my surgery at your hospital! Rude people, department who you simply cannot get hold of. Useless service. I wouldn't speak to anyone the way you spoke to me today. Shame on you.
