  1. Review titled Fantastic maternity and Labour Unit

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Chloe - Posted on 24 April 2024

All staff in the Maternity Unit at QMC have been fantastic! I have had both children here and both times I have been looked after so very well. From the Fetal Medicine department, all the way through to the labour unit/ theatre unit. They looked after me through my pregnancy and kept a close eye on my little one. They were extremely thorough with their examinations and ensured myself and my baby had the best care possible. They took immediate action when my little one decided to be awkward at birth and safely delivered both my boys into this world. I can’t thank all staff enough for the care they have provided myself and my boys at QMC both times (2021 & 2024). 5* experienc!!

  4. Review titled Excellent staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 17 February 2024

Professional and warm reception. Initial assessment was reassuring, clear and friendly. Actual treatment was led by clearly experienced nurse practitioner who guided a less experienced colleague. I would doubtless have had to wait far longer had I needed to see a doctor, but that was not necessary on this occasion. I’m thankful for the quality of the service provided.

  5. Review titled monthly eye check ups

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Julia Gibb - Posted on 10 February 2024

I have recently been diagnosed with myopic macular degeneration, I am so impressed with the care I have received. A course of 3 injections have helped slow down the progression of the disease and now I go for monthly eye scans. Lovely staff

  6. Review titled Excellent emergency treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 February 2024

I came in on Saturday morning with possible symptoms of a mini-stroke. Triaged, CT Scan, ECG, blood work, two meetings with emergency doctor, one with stroke consultant, and out in less than 4 hours. I understand that there is great pressure on the service, and that sometimes treatment is delayed or possibly compromised, but I suspect that in most cases patients receive the same exemplary care that I did. I am very grateful to you.

  10. Review titled Poor communication, uncontactable

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 February 2024

I have been booked in for the wrong consultant or wrong treatment by the hospital twice, and could only find out after 1 or 2 hour waits in waiting room, taking a day off work and having to be driven there, to be told they need to rebook. Terrible communication skills, even after asking for more information I have been left feeling unhelped and unanswered, at one point the consultant was 40 minutes late arriving to the hospital and then had another patient in the room whilst speaking to me. Now I can’t get through on the phones to try and book the appointment, have left several messages with no contact back and the mainline for the hospital just transfer me to the line that doesn’t accept my call. Absolutely awful experience and no idea how to resolve.
