  1. Review titled Excellent emergency treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 February 2024

I came in on Saturday morning with possible symptoms of a mini-stroke. Triaged, CT Scan, ECG, blood work, two meetings with emergency doctor, one with stroke consultant, and out in less than 4 hours. I understand that there is great pressure on the service, and that sometimes treatment is delayed or possibly compromised, but I suspect that in most cases patients receive the same exemplary care that I did. I am very grateful to you.

Dear Ian Thank you for sharing your patient journey with us. Surgery can be daunting especially when you know you will be awake for this and are not too sure what to expect. Sharing your experience like this will help others to know that they are in good hands and that they can be reassured when facing the same procedure themselves. I am so pleased that all went well for you and hope you get to fully experience the benefits of this soon, we would like to take this opportunity to wish you a speedy recovery. Kind regards Kelly – Patient experience officer

  5. Review titled Poor communication, uncontactable

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 23 February 2024

I have been booked in for the wrong consultant or wrong treatment by the hospital twice, and could only find out after 1 or 2 hour waits in waiting room, taking a day off work and having to be driven there, to be told they need to rebook. Terrible communication skills, even after asking for more information I have been left feeling unhelped and unanswered, at one point the consultant was 40 minutes late arriving to the hospital and then had another patient in the room whilst speaking to me. Now I can’t get through on the phones to try and book the appointment, have left several messages with no contact back and the mainline for the hospital just transfer me to the line that doesn’t accept my call. Absolutely awful experience and no idea how to resolve.

  6. Review titled Excellent Service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Michelle Brown - Posted on 23 February 2024

Well I was admitted via the emergency walk in centre. For vaginal bleeding . I cannot express how wonderful and caring all the staff were. To say the hospital was very busy the care and attention I got was faultless. Even if I’d of paid private I don’t think I would have got better care. They were so through with me . I know there’s a lot of folk moaning about our NHS at the moment , but I must have to say I’m truly happy and satisfied with all the care and service I received today. Thank you to all the lovely staff for your help today, wish I had all your names to mention as I most certainly would. X

  7. Review titled Above and beyond a23

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Chantelle Waddilove - Posted on 19 January 2024

A huge thank you to the outstanding team of nurses and doctors who work tirelessly to meet the needs of women on this ward. From start to finish I was treated with care, understanding and patience. The nurse who cared for me on this date deserves an award. Her proficiency is beyond what I could had asked for. Medication on time and the right amount (she made sure) personalised care, food, blankets, pillow cases. She was incredible. Thank you!

  10. Review titled Great staff and department

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 January 2024

My 19 year old daughter went to her GP who advised A&E at QMC we went on a Friday afternoon. Could not have had more attentive and kind staff, who were all obviously very busy. You were never made to feel that you were in the way taking up time, with what turned out to be the flu. Amazing service. Thank you
