Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had an accident yesterday and broke my wrist and the care I received was amazing, especially from 2 emergency nurse practitioners. They were friendly, professional and explained everything when treating my arm . I am very appreciative of their care.

My plastic surgery for skin cancer showed the Daycare Treatment Unit working like a very well oiled machine. From admission through pre op tests to the procedure itself, all was very well managed. So impressed and grateful.

Review titled Left for days in a chair
by Anonymous - Posted on 27 July 2024
75 year old father told to go to A&E by GP. Diagnosed with prostate cancer 2 months previous. Significant deterioration seen, weight loss, no appetite, pain in back and hips, breathlessness. Placed in a chair in a noisy environment, could not get comfortable, no rest, 4 chairs in a bay being accessed all night. Pain relief given late after it was asked for. No diagnosis as it was the weekend. Spend 2+ days like it. Thought he would die in that chair. He was not alone, corridors full of elderly patients in best (but at least they had a bed). Yet to make it out of this chair. No duty of care provided

Review titled Treatment and staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Edward Colin Martinali - Posted on 04 June 2024
I arrived at city hospital Peterborough in an ambulance in the evening. On arrival the ambulance crew make sure that I was checked in, the staff who will treat me in the hospital a&e was very very easy to get along with also very quick to respond. I was transferred to corridor care that it didn't make no difference my care was just as good as it was in the emergency section best seem to work quite well the staff with brilliant. Sunday evening I was transferred to ward b12 and the same I cannot say how much I appreciate what the staff did for me. On Monday morning I was told I could go home, but at 2pm because the paperwork was taking a better time I had to discharge myself I had to catch transport but married up so I can get home rather than wait for public transport for 4 hours. I didn't wait for my discharge papers because I would only chuck them in the drawer. All the details that happened over the weekend will be added to my doctor's records without the necessary paper that I was going to receive. So discharge papers why are they necessary for the patient they already know that the home. Discharge papers are so old fashioned, because nowadays everything is either done by email. Which if you actually worked out how much paper the NHS use over a period of a year that is quite a few tonnage the paper waste. But once again I would really like to thank all the staff for the treatment and the friendliness.

I attended the ophthalmology department today . I needed an urgent appointment and I was seen very quickly after referral. All the staff, from the receptionist , technicians , nurses and doctors were friendly, efficient and informative, they helped a stressful experience to be much easier. I had a number of tests , which were done quickly and efficiently. Hardly any waiting around . So thank you, I really appreciated my experience today and that was down to the wonderful team in ophthalmology .

From when the problems were 1st noticed by a different department I was treated with great concern and consideration by all the staff and especially the consultant in this department. I would like to thank everyone for their help from investigation to the final diagnosis. I certainly couldn't have wished for a better treatment and service

Review titled Day treatment centre is a joke
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Jonathan Howell - Posted on 16 May 2024
After arrival at 7.30am I was told I was the second person in, it's now 14.30 and even the afternoon people have been seen. Extremely racist staff bending over backwards for the people of the same nationality as them whilst I sit here completely clueless listening to russian and polish nurses basically flirting with the person opposite. I am fluent in polish even though I don't advertise it and I can promise the nurse (tall blond hair) isn't acting appropriate. I'd never agree for surgery here again. Absolutely unacceptable

Review titled Ward 8a - Professional and caring.
Rated 5 stars out of 5

My elderly relative was admitted recently via ambulance and admitted to the Renal Ward. I cannot praise the staff enough for the care and attention my relative received. They were assessed promptly, tests conducted and care administered to help them recover. Every member of staff I encountered seemed to be happy, whatever their role. The ward was immaculate. Everyone was helpful but I was especially impressed by the time taken by the Drs to patiently provide me/us with updates regarding progress/ treatment, and to answer any questions we had. A huge thank you to everyone involved in the recent care of my relative.
