Review titled shoulder replacement

After having had cancer (Hodgkins lymphoma) as a young man I was left with very high anxiety levels regarding anything that involved doctors or hospitals. On the day of my surgery for a total shoulder replacement I was beyond myself with all I can describe as 'fear'. All levels of staff at Pontefract Hospital were fantastic at helping reduce my very high anxiety levels in particular the anesthesiologist who was a very empathetic and extremely understanding young man I can honestly say I don't think I would have coped without the caring understanding nature of this chap. Overall I am very happy with the treatment I received and am now on the road to recovery, everyone involved throughout my procedure and aftercare have been second to none.

Dear Andy Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding your recent visit to our hospital. Coming into hospital can be daunting time for anyone and I can fully appreciate what an anxious time it must have been for you. Therefore, it is lovely to read how staff provided you with the support you needed and in particular one of our Anaesthetist's. I will share your kind words with the team as I know how much they will appreciate your feedback. Thank you again and I hope you are recovering well. Kind regards Clare Blackburn (Head of Patient Experience)
