My mother was taken by ambulance to Princess Royal Accident & Emergency suffering from chest pain. After thorough review and testing, she was diagnosed with pneumonia and was discharged with medication. Upon review a week later it was determined that she had not recovered sufficiently enough and was admitted for IV antibiotics. Being an ex-NHS medic myself, I can fully appreciate the stress that the service is currently under including that of negative press so I felt it critically important to congratulate the staff at PRH on their exemplary service. This includes staff in Accident & Emergency, Same Day Emergency Care and the ward who were all friendly, helpful and willing to assist with any request. The hospital itself was also extremely clean and well run. I cannot express my gratitude enough - thank you all!

I was supposed to have an appointment about a hysterectomy today. I got a call an hour before the appointment to days it’s been cancelled because I was booked in the wrong clinic apparently. It’s appalling! I had to move another appointment for this one and the cancelled it at the last minute. No information was given and nothing was said about when the appointment will be rebooked. I’ve been waiting for over 3 months for this appointment! So unorganised and very unprofessional staff!
