Arrived in pain and distress at 8pm with neuralgia pain, temperature, and bacterial infection in sinuses. Trialed fast, given pain relief and then had bloodtests, and after results was seen by cheerful doctor and prescribed effective treatment with other nastier possibilities considered and ruled out by tests. All staff courteous, sympathetic and very professional, and deserve my heartfelt thanks.

  3. Review titled awful

awful experience at this hospital, for the second time in 1year. our first experience was in June last year, when our child broke his arm, they should have put a half plaster to my 6 years old child, they put a full one, no one really checked make sure all was ok, had to come back 2 times to get the half plaster that was mentioned on the hospital records. our second experience was when we were sent through 111, with a kid with fever, waited for 5 hours, they kept telling us other cases were more urgent. when we asked how it is normal to be pushed down the line countiously they acted as if that was absolutely normal- I stil don’t understand how injuries like a broken arm on an adult would take precedence to a 7 year old with fever- looks like it is absolutely normal at this hospital. just avoid if you can, i am certainly not going there again( maybe this is the hospital’s policy, to offer as little as possible in order to send patients away… it definitely felt that way)

Thank you stroke unit for all your compassion and speedily help.thank for the first contact in reception.the man saw I was in de-stress and got triage to see me . Consultant from stroke unit was brilliant and told me to not worry as he was going to look after me.which his team did. Every one from the front reception onwards went out of there way to help. They all are a credit to Kings. I am glad that I live within the Pruh area. Thank you all

  5. Review titled Amazing staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by David Devlin - Posted on 25 March 2024

I arrived by ambulance with a shattered elbow and broken hand. Spent 2 nights there while getting an operation on my elbow. All the staff from the nurses, doctors, surgeons, porters, cleaning staff and reception staff were friendly and efficient. I found the overall atmosphere in the hospital great. Despite having to spend a night post op in the recovery ward, the staff were great. I have had numerous operations in the past and have stayed in various hospitals and have never had much reason to complain but I feel that my experience in here stands out and deserves special compliments, thank you.

Quick and efficient treatment in the Chartwell Unit today, despite a warning of longer delays on the door.

  8. Review titled Slow and unwelcoming

Rated 2 stars out of 5

Very slow service at Chartwell phlebotomy today, waiting well over an hour so far, no end in sight, no communication, apart from someone coming out from time to time seeming quite cross that there are so many people for blood tests. Could be a bit nicer and communicate long waits, especially for those using the car park who could do without getting fined on top of sitting here hungry and thirsty, afraid to go for refreshments incase we miss our slot.

  9. Review titled Poor managment, uncaring staff.....

Rated 1 star out of 5

    by Mrs E Z Fazakas-Zakor - Posted on 03 January 2024

I'm 33 year old. I come in at 16:30 with chest pain after I waited for an ambulance since 14:00 o'clock without no luck, I decided to use my own transport. After being here an ECG was done only two hours since arrival time then an other two hours waiting to see an ED Clinicians they want to send me home even without a blood test being done to check the troponin and D-dimer which are essential to exclude ischemic heart desiase or infact miocardic, I have to mention the risks myself to the clinicians to take it a bit seriously and to get other people involved with the decision, but is still no plan available yet. Here is no care taken seriously, if there is anything serious there was plenty of time to die until attention arrives! After arguing with the Clinician and he involved other team members in the decision making in the end I have to stay for more investigation, lucky me that I am a member of the NHS and I have knowledge of the illnesses risks and plans otherwise I would be sent home with no proper examination and investigation !

  10. Review titled Overall positive experience. Would go back

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Enny - Posted on 18 February 2024

Had to take the time to write this review as the nhs gets such a bad rep all the time. Had my first child here not long ago and I have to say the service I recieved was amazing. There were a couple or hiccups and one or 2 unsavoury characters but nothing is 100%. My experience overall was good and I was well taken care of. Thank you so much all the nurses midwives and doctors who show up every day and keep us safe. We really do appreciate you
