  1. Review titled Wonderful

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was very nervous and apprehensive about having my first ever gastroscopy and colonoscopy. As soon as I arrived, a lovely nurse called Tricia came to get me. She was upbeat, kind and funny and thoroughly explained everything to me, making me feel much better. The other nurses and doctors were just as nice, and they made me feel at ease. They were thorough and ever so friendly. I can't praise them enough. It made an unpleasant procedure as enjoyable as possible. Thank you everyone!

  2. Review titled Ct scan for cancer

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I attended the imagining department for a ct scan. I have small cell lung cancer, stage 4,terminal. I have a scan every 12 weeks and as usual my complete experience was brilliant. The staff were kind and empathetic but still professional. The person who put in my canular, listened to me and was very capable. I was taken through for my scan by a lovely person who took into consideration my disability problems. My appointment was dealt with quickly, very little waiting around. I would definitely be happy to go there again and would recommend them

  3. Review titled Superb treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had an appt at Queen Mary’s following an optician’s check up. Ophthalmology Dept was easy to locate, with staff at the entrance to assist/direct. I arrived early (1.15) for my 1.55 appt. I was briefly in the waiting area before I was advised to report to a nurse in a small room where I had to take a test then returned to waiting room. Shortly I was called to another room for a nurse to dispense eye drops. After about 5 mins I was requested to see doctor. He did some further tests and gave me the result. Consequently I was out of the hospital by the time of my actual appt. Brilliant organisation. The display boards in waiting areas clearly state when/where you need to go. All the staff were informative, friendly and very professional. Everywhere was clean and bright, and equipment regularly sanitised. This was my first visit to Queen Mary’s Hospital and I was extremely impressed by the efficiency of the Opthalmology Dept and the pleasant attitude of all the staff I encountered. Excellent service at Queen Mary’s Hospital.

I was seen in the urgent care department this week following a fall in the street. The care I received was exceptional and I was seen very promptly and initial care given before being referred to a local A&E for further treatment I would like to thank the staff who dealt with me from the receptionist to the triage nurse and nurse practitioner for all their care and professionalism.

  5. Review titled Thankyou

My oxygen levels were really low earlier, my heart rate was high and temperature also high. I was given immediate treatment with some nebulisers whilst we were awaiting the ambulance’s arrival. Thankyou to the 2 wonderful nurses I had.

  6. Review titled Bad service and no follow up

Rated 1 star out of 5

The staff and consultants really don’t care at this eye department, I spent 3 years the first year they lost my mums eye results on all the tests she had . So another 2 years with long waiting lists and constant eye exams that had all been done at every appt . Bjt never got to see a consultant, when you did it was nothing but complaints from the consultant it was not his dept of specialty. Mum had a cataract and and a further layer which still didn’t help , went back and forth and eventually saw another consultant who was very rude said he can see something and you will get a appt for the problem that was 2 years ago now and we are still waiting . I can’t say anymore about this department as it’s completely disjointed and lets the rest of the nhs and patients down . My mums eye is still not sorted .
