  1. Review titled Waste of time

Rated 1 star out of 5

Got refered by the walk in centre to go to a&e after getting a peice of metal in my eye, walk in centre told me that there was a peice of metal that had penertraded my eye, when I got to a&e after waiting for nearly 4 hours the doctor who delt with me told me that there wasn't anything in my eye and issued me some antibiotic eye cream then discharged me. In less than 24 hours I've had to return to the a&e because the peice of metal is still in my eye and it's now been 24 hours where I haven't been able to see anything out my eye

  2. Review titled Rude staff

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Rebecca Strachan - Posted on 10 June 2024

I was sent to A&E Aby the GP. When I was in triage, the medical professional was rude and dismissive of my pain and concerns. Too busy saying I'm not an emergency and I shouldn't be there. I understand they're under pressure but I was sent there by a doctor.

  3. Review titled Second to none

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Pam smith - Posted on 04 July 2024

My daughter was bought to hospital by ambulance with breathing issues. She was quickly transferred to icu and put on a ventilator. The care she received was first class by very informative caring staff. Nothing was left to chance. After 7 days she was woken up and we were allowed to be there it was a long process but they were patient and kind with us all. She is now recovering on a ward and doing really well. I can’t thank the staff in icu enough for keeping her safe and for helping us to understand her needs for her wellbeing.

  4. Review titled Amazing practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Ellie Slater - Posted on 03 June 2024

Every single staff member that we came across from the maternity and labour unit were incredibly positive, welcoming and reassuring. I was looked after by 2 lovely midwives & a student midwife, and their care was outstanding, leaving us feeling completely safe throughout my entire induction and labour. We had 1-1 care throughout my 20 hour labour, and the whole team went above and beyond. I couldn’t have asked for a better team of people to deliver my baby - thank you so much!!

  5. Review titled Out of order toilets.

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Fiona - Posted on 11 May 2024

There seemed to be a large number of toilets out of order within and around the accident and emergency department. Which given the large number of people there was unacceptable. 1. Male toilets by reception desk 2. Toilet outside a and e near entrance door 3. One toilet in miami ( which rather alarmingly the staff member I asked wasn't aware it was out of order ( leaving only one patient toilet available in whole of a and e

My partner and daughter were seen very quickly following an incident. Discharged my daughter and sought appropriate care for my partner. Pleased with how the staff supported them both!

by Carole Knight - Posted on 27 May 2024

After a head injury, the person I brought toA and E was treated very well by all the staff involved. Although the waiting time was far too long, great care was taken by office staff, nurses and doctors. Thank you

  9. Review titled Above and beyond

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Christine Scott - Posted on 20 May 2024

Today I came for a blood test prior to an appointment on Friday, I stupidly came without my blood test form. The staff in the blood test department and the lovely staff at rheumatology were so helpful and they managed to get a replacement form from the nurse in the department. I am so grateful as I had travelled from Swadlincote for the appointment and I'd have struggled to get another appointment in time for my consultation, so thank you to all I came into contact with today who were all outstanding as usual but went above and beyond today.

  10. Review titled Excellent treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Carolynn - Posted on 11 June 2024

Within minutes of calling 111, 3 friendly, calm and efficient paramedics arrived to attend to my husband. Having assessed his condition, they took us to hospital. We were received and my husband reassessed by more friendly and efficient medics, and then moved to a small ward, where he had various blood tests, chest X-ray, etc. He was seen by both a doctor, and a consultant. The whole experience could not be faulted. Fortunately, the reason that I initially rang 111, when my husband was having unbearable chest pains, turned out to be something else. The doctors couldn’t give a clear reason as to what, but they made sure that they had eliminated any serious or life threatening conditions, and for that we are most grateful. Not an experience I would like to repeat, but the whole time, from 111 to a taxi home, we were incredibly well looked after. Thank you NHS, you are stars!
