  1. Review titled Ultrasound ! 👎

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 19 November 2024

Was sent to ultrasound due to an emergency, to be told 6 week wait! Then to be asked my a rather old obnoxious lady why I was having an ultrasound ! Is it honestly any of the ‘old’ ladies business, it could have been personal to say the least, a formal complaint will be made !

  2. Review titled Amazing staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Over the last two days (26th & 27th October) I’ve had to visit the acute surgical ward for my illness, I cannot thank the staff on that unit enough for all their help and care, nothing is too much for them even when they’re so busy, from the reception lady, phlebotomist/cannula lady, drs and students, they were all so nice and absolutely amazing at their jobs, what can be a scary experience was turned into a nice one with such down to earth people, please pass on this message as they deserve every bit of recognition. Thank you for your amazing care.

I had a 3 night stay in the Rockingham ward after a recent knee operation From the first minute to the last every member of staff was superb Nothing was to much trouble even though most of the time they were rushed off their feet and short staffed Thank you everyone involved for your time patience and dedication

  5. Review titled The staff made a frightening experience easier

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Alison Meredith - Posted on 23 October 2024

On Wednesday 16th October 2024 my GP sent me to A&E by ambulance with a 160bpm heart rate! I was absolutely petrified, especially when I was brought in Resus. All the staff from Consultant to cleaning staff were brilliant. They really are angels. At 4am Thursday morning I was transferred to AMU where I got some sleep and just like Resus, the staff were lovely and they had to help me to the toilet as my legs were weak. I was then transferred to Ward A1 and again the staff were lovely. I can honestly say I didn’t encounter anyone who was not helpful or friendly. On Monday 21st October I was discharged home using Patient Transport. The 2 staff bonded with me over our love of cats and I was missing my cat. I would like my greatfulness passed on to the revelant teams and thank them Many thanks

  6. Review titled Excellent Care - Endoscopy Clinic

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Ann M - Posted on 05 October 2024

I had a colonoscopy last week. I was dreading it but it was fine. The Plenvu prep wasn't pleasant and the 2nd dose was the worst but I stayed close to the loo and coped. I stuck to the diet for 3 days as instructed and I think that helped. I had sedation as I have had bowel surgery in the past and there were concerns over scar tissue causing problems. I would recommend it, I was awake and aware, and able to watch the screen but I didn't feel anything. Big thank you to all the staff in the dept. They were all professional and efficient but also very friendly and kind and put me at ease. If you are having a colonoscopy my advice would be read the instructions and follow them to the letter, then listen to the staff, they will guide you through the procedure, it is all over fairly quickly and you get a lovely cuppa (or 2) in recovery. Thanks to all in the Dept.

  7. Review titled Brilliant Nurses

Rated 5 stars out of 5

    by Gemma G - Posted on 13 September 2024

I attended Greenoaks yesterday 12.9.24 for my smear test at 410pm I have autism and was extremely nervous about this appointment . I have had experiences before where I felt embarrassed as the appointment wasn’t successful The nurses were fantastic! I am sorry I didn’t get their names. Honestly, they were brilliant, offering calming lights and talking me through each and every process Every woman dreads their smear test and these made it a comfortable experience. They deserve all the credit in the world, those nurses in Room 21 were so good . They are exactly what we need for nurses. Please pass on my sincere thanks. The whole experience is usually traumatic, but this was comforting and calm Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Gemma G

  8. Review titled An excellent experience

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Helen Dudill - Posted on 08 August 2024

I had to attend the Chatsworth Suite again today after somethibg was found that needed further assessment on my mammogram a couple of weeks ago. It is a lovely, calm department and I was treated with respect and kindness by every member of staff I came into contact with. Everything was explained to me in detail and I was given every opportunity to ask questions. All my tests carried out were extremely thorough. Thankfully for me everything turned out to be clear but if I had needed further tests/treatment I would have felt very reassured that I was in the correct place and wouldn’t have been worried. My experience from beginning to end was exceptional and all I can say is that this unit and all the staff in the unit are a real credit to Rotherham Hospital

  10. Review titled 5 star treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Peter Baxter - Posted on 26 July 2024

Received a pre-planned procedure in June 2024 and stayed at the hospital for two days. A resultant problem several weeks later meant a visit to A&e and subsequent 4 day stay at the hospital. During both stays I was treated with great care and attention and made to feel “wanted” and never a nuisance. Although always professional there was always friendly conversation. Food was always good in sufficient quantities as well. I was seen very quickly by A&e as there were only 4 people waiting and quickly given treatment and a bed in a ward. I consider every aspect of my treatment as 5 star, thank you to all at rgh. However if A&e is busy as it was in June 2023 then a long wait is inevitable. 7.5 hours to see a doctor I’m afraid. I wonder how many should have been there or should have been seen by a GP? There needs to be a better way to handle A&e, maybe pulling staff in from other departments as the need arises? Also why in this review can’t you use words with all capital letters?
