  1. Review titled Poor care!

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 02 December 2022

Bought my daughter who is 12 up to accident and emergency as she was in lots of pain abd somehow it looked as if sge had dislocated her collerbone as her shoulder was mishappen to the other! We arriced at 10.30pm and waited for quite some time then called to triage where it felt like we were an inconience!! We then eventually were called in to see the doctor who did not do a proper examination, and no xray which she should of had. The manner from the doctor was rude and unhelpful and we were made to feel like we were wasting his time! No care at all! Sent home with no real idea as to whats wrong, daughter still has a mishappen and bulge bony area on her collerbone and still in pain!!! Would not reccomend.

  3. Review titled Urgent Community Response

    by eagleny79 - Posted on 07 December 2022

Following a fall at home and a call to 999 for assistance it was recommended that I call 111 to speak to a doctor. I had a home visit from a GP who started immediate Community Response visits. I had been feeling generally unwell for almost 2 weeks and the support I was given was superb. Sadly within 24hrs it was deemed necessary to be admitted to hospital where I stayed for just over 3 weeks. However, the prompt response to my medical needs at home was exceptional and various aids were delivered to my home address at very short notice. The medical care I received helped me to remain at home initially and I was very grateful for this support. The nurses that did come in to see me at home were caring and supportive and this helped tremendously as I was naturally very frightened and vulnerable. Having to be admitted to hospital via A&E when an ambulance was sent for me I was then admitted to hospital for over 3 weeks to locate and treat various infections that were discovered.

My hearing aid broke just before I was due to go on holiday. The Audiology dept went out of there way to fix it for me. It has made such a difference to my holiday. The ladies on the Outpatient Reception were also extremely helpful in assisting me. Thank you.

  5. Review titled Superb service and treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Stuart Jones - Posted on 19 October 2022

I visited the Orthopaedic department of RHCH today and was stunned by just how good the service was. I'm rarely a visitor to hospitals (thank goodness) and hear so much bad press regarding the NHS. I was attended to by a Nurse, a Registrar and a Consultant. Each of them had impeccable manner and the service felt of a really high quality and not rushed in any way. I was thoroughly consulted regarding my issue, and they gave great explanations as to the cause and solutions. I cannot imagine one could receive better service than this anywhere. Many thanks

  6. Review titled Rude and condescending

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 October 2022

I went to the A&E after having pain in my wrist. The receptionist and triage nurse was wonderful and couldn’t rate them highly enough. However when I was seen by the ENPs. They were nothing but condescending and rude. I was trying to engage in small talk with them, and was just getting blanked and got the impression they were just annoyed with me being there. I also asked them if they knew what the extent of my injury was, to the point where they stated along the lines of “that’s not our job” I could have and still have a ligament or tendon tear? Which I know needs to be investigated to understand the severity. Terrible empathy

  7. Review titled Outstanding treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Terence Bailey - Posted on 12 October 2022

Following a procedure on 21 sept I had to return to the dermatology department to have the dressing changed and wound cleaned on a regular basis. The sister who treated me was superb , extremely caring kind and punctual . I am most grateful to her she is a credit to the hospital and her profession. I would nominate her for a award if such a scheme exsists.

  8. Review titled Such amazing care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Katie - Posted on 03 September 2022

The care we had for our toddler when we arrived late Monday evening was amazing. They reacted quickly and were kind and attentive. As parents we were scared and they reassured us and gave us information without asking despite how busy they were. We were transferred to a ward and again I felt we were safe and well looked after. Thank you WCH!

  10. Review titled NHS savaged by press but Winchester Hospital is a star

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Chester - Posted on 27 August 2022

Driven to A&E with 'tummy ache' on Saturday afternoon and after short wait had loads of tests. All of the staff friendly ,concerned and extremely helpful. They were magnificent, I thought. Taken to Bartlett for 4 nights and again received the same warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble for anyone. Sure, it would be possible to criticise the odd thing that went wrong but the staff always worked hard to put things right. They also do great credit to the leadership in this hospital.
