    My special needs, adult daughter attended the Orthodontics Department with her two carers on July 29th for extensive dental treatment under general anaesthetic. Her carers have enthused about the consideration, care, kindness and respect that she was shown throughout her stay. Unfortunately, the review rules prevent me from mentioning names but you will know who you are. You smoothed the path for my daughter, who gets distressed when in unfamiliar environments, and made her feel safe and comfortable in an extremely stressful situation. Thank you to the dental surgeon and her team for their compassionate support. I am so grateful to you all.

    Today I attended A&E with my son as I suspected he had broken his wrist or hand. From the moment we arrived we were treated with efficiency and professionalism. It transpired he had broken a bone and the nurse who dealt with us was so lovely. She engaged with my son putting him immediately at ease and explained exactly what we would be looking for on the X-ray. He was plastered quickly and we were out in record time. The NHS are under such enormous pressure but the staff at the RHCH Winchester are simply amazing!

    Very short wait for appointment, made even shorter because someone else cancelled on the day and the clinic phoned to ask if I could come. Zero wait at the evening clinic. Lovely friendly staff and doctor; excellent clear explanation and advice for my problem.
