  1. Review titled Audiology dept superb

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Kim - Posted on 18 November 2022

My hearing aid broke just before I was due to go on holiday. The Audiology dept went out of there way to fix it for me. It has made such a difference to my holiday. The ladies on the Outpatient Reception were also extremely helpful in assisting me. Thank you.

  2. Review titled Superb service and treatment

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Stuart Jones - Posted on 19 October 2022

I visited the Orthopaedic department of RHCH today and was stunned by just how good the service was. I'm rarely a visitor to hospitals (thank goodness) and hear so much bad press regarding the NHS. I was attended to by a Nurse, a Registrar and a Consultant. Each of them had impeccable manner and the service felt of a really high quality and not rushed in any way. I was thoroughly consulted regarding my issue, and they gave great explanations as to the cause and solutions. I cannot imagine one could receive better service than this anywhere. Many thanks

  3. Review titled Rude and condescending

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 18 October 2022

I went to the A&E after having pain in my wrist. The receptionist and triage nurse was wonderful and couldn’t rate them highly enough. However when I was seen by the ENPs. They were nothing but condescending and rude. I was trying to engage in small talk with them, and was just getting blanked and got the impression they were just annoyed with me being there. I also asked them if they knew what the extent of my injury was, to the point where they stated along the lines of “that’s not our job” I could have and still have a ligament or tendon tear? Which I know needs to be investigated to understand the severity. Terrible empathy

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback of your recent experience. Providing compassionate care is crucial to the way we care for our patients and I am sorry to hear that this was not reflected in your recent experience of our emergency department. Your feedback has been shared with the clinical leads for the emergency department and they will discuss it at their team meeting. Please do contact our customer care team so that we can follow-up with you personally as well. They can be contacted at customercare@hhft.nhs.uk or 01256 486766. If you still have concerns around the pain in your wrist then please do seek further help, either from your GP, through 111 or for urgent support then do come back to the hospital. I do hope that you will have a different experience should you need to use our services again. Kind regards Alex Whitfield Chief Executive
