Review titled Amazing midwife’s
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Luke Gates - Posted on 06 January 2025
My partner had our first child at guilford hospital and we had the midwife’s A lice & M egan and they were absolutely unbelievable they made us both feel so calm and safe and got my partner through a very difficult birth we cannot thank them enough they were both present from start to finish being my partners voice when she couldn’t speak for herself, even down to after the birth both of them took the time to come and visit her in the ward to check on her wellbeing. Just the most amazing people we could have had the pleasure to be with. Thank you so much to both of you

Review titled Passionate and caring staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Ian Penny - Posted on 04 December 2024
As soon as I arrived in A+E the staff were so caring you don’t expect that a receptionist to get a wheelchair for you within 15 minutes I saw three members of staff soon after I was in A+E ward the staff are so caring and helpful then the doctors ordered X-ray scan bloods to be taken I now they where so busy but the service that they gave me was brilliant even when the nursing staff was busy the doctors help out by checking on other patients as soon as my results came they provided my results even one of the top consultants came with four doctors and told me what is going to happen that put me at ease , then I was taken to the hospital ward as soon as I arrived the staff were outstanding friendly kind helpful and understanding staff I even ask some of the patients what it is like on the ward they said It’s great , soon after I experienced all the staff being kind helpful and understanding towards their patients even down to the cleaning staff saying good morning and smiling, I must say I have been to a few private hospitals before , but from the minute that I crawled in to A+E in so much pain, I was not expecting this kind of service from the NHS staff they are passionate caring understanding people they need to be respected for what they do for our community and our country, I would like to thank you all for all the hard work and your dedication and kindness that you showed to all of the patients on my ward as well as to my family and myself

Review titled Great service from a physiotherapist
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Leigh Taylor - Posted on 30 December 2024
I just wanted to say thank you to Rob (physio) who has been fantastic treating me for my fractured and sprained ankles over the last 3 months. He was very professional and gave great advice, but was also kind and encouraging. I had private physio last year for a similar problem and that wasn't a patch on the care Rob provided - so thank you Rob keep up the great work!

Review titled World class A&E
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Simon Carr - Posted on 23 December 2024
I cannot comment more highly on the outstanding care, attention, diagnosis and treatment I received yesterday (Saturday 22 Dec) at Royal Surrey Hospital accident and emergency. From reception, the triage team to doctor diagnosis and consultant review - a superb job. A seamless, efficient, focused process. We have lived in the United States for many years and my visit and treatment yesterday at Royal Surrey Hospital was on a par if not better than our United States experience. It is clear that the hospital management, the clinical staff at all levels from orderlies to consultants are absolutely focused on world class patient care. I arrived in agony and left within 4 hours having received a diagnosis, medication and focused guidance for me to follow. It is very difficult to put into words but for us we sense that everyone working at Royal Surrey Hospital appears to have a smile and is totally focused on providing the best possible advice or outcome. My wife and I are truly blessed and draw immense comfort knowing that you "truly care" A huge thank at a time of crisis for me.

Review titled Amazing staff

I arrived at the royal Surrey at 12.30 midday I walked in there was about 40 patients sat in the waiting area, I was checked in by a lovely girl on the desk who had empathy I sat on the floor in the waiting area as no chairs but I was offered a chair in actual fact was more comfy on the floor due to pain I was in quarter to one was seen by triage 1 o clock was seen again and advised bloods would be taken it stated wait time was between 2-3 hours the point of this is that the members of staff were amazing they did not stop they were running hear there and every where to see to patients they are only human and were doing amazing I actually had an episode in a and e and they got me on a trolley I was put in the corridor where I was looked after with pain meds does it matter that I was in a corridor no as I was being well looked after they can only do what they can do and they were doing everything they could was there a long wait time yes due to the amount of patients they had every member of staff had a smile and dealt with patients with empathy even though they were rushed of there feet credit to the royal Surrey and all members of staff I did witness quite a few people that could have waited for doctors rather than a and e or a walk in centre not once did any member of staff turn any one away and dealt with every one in a brilliant manner but it’s clear that this takes up staff time unnecessarily, I would like to thank every one who dealt with my care and made me feel better if I could give a 10 star I would they are doing amazing from start to finish every member of staff under pressure dealt with people care on a high level

Review titled Wonderful ENT Team

I underwent sinus surgery on the 05 November. From the moment I arrived at the Short stay surgery Reception the whole process went extremely well. The two surgeons who came to see me and the actual surgeon who performed the surgery both absolutely brilliant surgeons. The team of anaesthitists inside the operating theatre so helpful and professional. The lady who looked after me in the post op recovery room was so helpful. The pre op assessment team did an amazing job to in organising everything prior to my surgery. We all salute you for the incredible work you do every day with such diligence and integrity and for changing peoples' lives.

Review titled 1st experience
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 18 November 2024
We experienced good care for my mum, taken to A&E following a fall. CT head scan actioned quickly, review by Dr, then on to separate trips for X-ray and CT of her hip. Porters, Doctors, Radiographers, Nurses - all very patient with her needs (dementia, disability). Then moved to AMU for review after scans/bloods and seen by geriatrician. Quite a long wait of 1.5hr to sort pain medication due to back and forth from mum to nurse to dr during trips for scans and transfer to AMU and intolerance of codeine. Staff very good at advising their names and explaining processes clearly to mum, amidst a much more confused state of mind during the day. 1 night stay, HCA staff assisted mobilisation and transfer to the car, and updates the care home on her medical situation. Car parking at visitor times on Monday was bad. Otherwise very clean areas we used and pleasant staff. Hopefully we won't have to return again soon, but if we do we hope it will be a similar good experience.
