Review titled Great compassionate care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Patricia Fosbury - Posted on 07 January 2025
I attended the hospital yesterday on a two-week-wait appointment, which was obviously very stressful. I had excellent care in the ultrasound department followed by an examination in urology outpatients. In each case, everything was explained to me and people made sure I knew what the procedure was going to be and the possible after effects of the cystoscopy. Everyone I met was very caring and I felt as comfortable as possible, given the circumstances. Luckily, no tumour was found, to my great relief. The standard of care up to its usual level!

Review titled Wonderful care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Jo Burnard - Posted on 17 January 2025
I arrived unexpectedly in the Coronary Care Unit, after a heart attack. The care from all concerned was exceptional. Kind, courteous, patient. Procedures were explained. And despite the unit being clearly very busy, I had been assessed and treated within two days. I was home on the third day. The staff were particularly caring when they realised my husband was due for a scheduled heart operation, in Bristol at the same time. Friends and family rallied round to deal with that situation but the Bath hospital staff went out of their way to reassure me.

by Mr Malcolm C Terry - Posted on 16 January 2025
I would like to thank the first responders, a&e staff, ward staff, doctors and consultants on the older persons assessment and short stay wards for the kind and high quality care afforded to my wife on Xmas Eve and from the 3rd to 7th January. We could not have wished for a better service despite the obvious pressures on the system and staff. Thank you for your commitment and dedication.

Review titled Hours of waiting
Rated 1 star out of 5

I brought my son to the Emergency & Accident department after he had an allergic reaction. He was initially given antihistamines and his observations were checked. However, no one reassessed him for the next four hours, and the waiting time to see a doctor was also four hours. By the time a doctor was available, his temperature had risen to 39.0°C. He was given paracetamol, but after that, nothing was done for another two hours.

I had an appointment in the trauma clinic. I saw a clinician, had 6 X rays and another consultation with the clinician and was out of the clinic within 50 minutes. Everyone was very kind and friendly. Thank you so much!

Review titled Kind, friendly, efficient and fast

After calling 111 at about 4pm, my daughter was referred to Bath ROyal United Hospital urgent care unit. We arrived around 5.15pm, were quickly booked in and then seen about half an hour later by a kind, friendly and efficient nurse. Assessment made and antibiotics issued on the spot. We were expecting a much longer wait as it was very busy. Really impressed with all staff. Thank you so much.
