  1. Review titled Fantastic staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Daphne Welvaert - Posted on 12 December 2024

Firstly, the Ambulance crew who brought me in today were absolutely fantastic. They were so kind and caring and helped me a lot when I could hardly walk & in a lot of pain! The lovely Doctor in A&E was so kind and reassuring. I am forever grateful for the care I had. We are so lucky to have people like you looking after us and I’d like to say thank you, thank you, thank you!

  2. Review titled Terrible care

by Azra - Posted on 03 November 2024

The care at Urgent Treatment Centre is very below standard. My brother who has underlying conditions was told to go to the hospital if he deteriorated by his GP. He was constantly vomiting, couldn't swallow or talk. We were told by a dr on duty that he needs to go back home and eat and drink. We were told there was no specialist care here. So when pushed for a referral the dr was like we will see if they accept you. He wasnt treated with dignity or respect. We were then told to get out the room as the dr had other patients to treat. Awful behaviour zero empathy no understanding at all. If you are ill dont bother going to this hospital. You will be told just to go home and suck it up

I visited urgent care yesterday (Saturday 30th November) due to pain in my lower back due to a fall from being dizzy in Thursday night, I filled out the form they said i needed to stay in urgent care to be seen by the doctor I was seen by doctor in urgent care at 4pm and with what I explained he wasn’t happy that I was made to wait in urgent care so he sent me to a and e where I was seen and had triage then was sent for a X-ray which was a bit of a wait as I arrived to urgent care just after 1pm After I had my xray the results came back clear which was good I was told to take it easy and take painkillers if I get any pain I just wasn’t expecting to come out at 8pm after being there since just after 1pm the staff in X-ray were lovely taking care of me during my X-ray explaining what they was going to do for the X-ray but I just wasn’t happy that I didn’t get sent straight to a and e in the first place I’m just shocked that I was told that I needed to stay in urgent care for lower back pain 😢 I understand that they were very busy as I know what it’s like especially being a volunteer at the hospital 2 days a week Kind regards Chloe

  5. Review titled Great Staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Gaynor Cooper - Posted on 08 October 2024

I attended this department today for laser treatment. All staff were excellent, they were pleasant and put me at ease before and during the procedure. They were also extremely kind to a patient who suffered with dementia, helping her and the people who were with her. Well done to all the staff.

  6. Review titled Okay service

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Chloe brewin - Posted on 22 October 2024

I visited the urgent care on the 20th October this year as I was having pain in my lower stomach and i was just worried about the pain I was in The staff member who saw me for triage was very kind about giving me the correct care But I wasn’t happy with the wait time as it was really busy as there was lots of people and by the time I came out it was like 5pm which I didn’t expect to be coming out at that time I’m glad tho I found out what was wrong with me which put me at ease but I was just disgusted the fact I was waiting a while than I intended to because of the pain I was in which wasn’t nice even though I could have spoken to them about the pain on who was on reception that day but I just didn’t want to make a fuss as I know how stressful it must be for them

In E & A yesterday, oct 30th I was very fortunate to be treated by excellent staff, doctors and nurses, they treated me with such respect and care, nothing was too much trouble, I visited many departments on my visit for treatment and everyone single person was the same. 8. Review titled Great staff

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I got to take to hospital by ambulance early hours Sunday morning, I was seen pretty quickly despite the waiting room being full. I had an ECG by a lovely lady who was very caring and so easy to talk to, I can't remember her name. I was then seen by a doctor who was also so lovely! He was wearing black scrubs, the lady who did my ECG had red hair. These two individuals made my visit to the emergency very pleasant even though I felt unwell. They were caring and took the time to actually listen to me and put me at ease, they are a credit to this hospital.

  9. Review titled Above and beyond

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Karl - Posted on 17 September 2024

My sister and I just visited our very unwell elderly grandmother at AMU Rainbow Ward. My sister had her newborn baby with her who was not allowed on the ward. Despite being extremely busy, a nurse was able to bring our grandmother out of the ward on her bed so she could meet her great granddaughter. The nurse even offered to take photos, which we hadn't thought to do ourselves. These photos will be very precious to us and we are so grateful to the nurse for all her efforts and thoughtfulness. Thank you so much.

  10. Review titled Friendly quick, professional and caring

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Charlotte williams - Posted on 14 September 2024

From start to finish the staff were so friendly professional and caring. Every interaction was a positve one. We had prepared to be several hours due to it being a Friday, however this was not the case. The movement through the process to be seen was seamless. Every department was clean well organised and most of the staff were so professional, engaging and showed a caring and friendly demenure. I would like to thank all the team on duty 13th September 2024 at 6.15pm till 8.30. If I can give any feedback it was that it is difficult to locate a wheelchair if required when trying to get into A&E we were lucky that my husband got one when someone had finished with it and getting into the car , many people were hunting for chairs.
