Review titled Excellent care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 10 February 2023
All the team from a & e, sdec & amu not forgetting cleaners, radiographers etc were great. They checked every avenue to make sure they got to the root cause of the problem. Although wait times are so long due to being so busy. They take the time to make sure best practices are followed. Despite being overworked a real credit. Thank you so much for looking after me so well I wish I could thank them more. Oh and the food was good too!! Abundant blessings to you all. Keep up the great vital work

Review titled Really good treatment
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Trudy - Posted on 18 February 2023
I attended urgent care with my mother in law who was short of breath, she'd never had any history of breathing issues before. At the front desk we were triaged to a&e, and we did not have to wait long to be called through. My mum in-law was assessed and after another short wait, were taken to 'same day emergency care ' area, where she had tests; a decision was made to admit her to the Rainbow Unit. She arrived there just shy of 4 hours from our first arrival at a&e . Everybody was kind and full explanations were given.

They never answer the phone and when they do and they transfer you. Ward b6 department just cuts you off straight away. Don't even say hello. You literally hear them pick the phone up and then hang up again

Review titled Lovely staff but lack of communication left me worrying
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 10 January 2023
Staff at the Gynaecology unit were particularly lovely especially one staff member who was extremely kind as well as professional and took my situation at hand as a young, first time pregnant woman with empathy and kindness. The wait wasn’t too bad either to be seen. I was booked in for blood tests and a further one two days ago but I have not received any calls from the doctor whilst being told I would be definitely called in the evening on the same day about what my results would be. Now I don’t know what the norm usually is. But I feel forgotten and very, very anxious. I am on edge with frustration as those results for the blood test will be quite life changing. The line to call the Gyno dep is pointless as you are either cut off or no one picks up. Please don’t let me down. I am still waiting for those results. My situation feels difficult enough as it is.

I was admitted for a stent insertion and stone removal. The staff and nurses who looked after me before and after the operation were so nice and lovely. Thanks to the B 5 Surgical Assessment Unit staff and nurses! Thanks to the theatre coordinators. Thanks to the nurse who brought me to the theatre. Thanks to the anaesthetist who made me feel comfy before the operation. Thanks to the nurse who looked after me in the recovery room after the operation. To the nurses and staff at B 1 Ward Station 1, a very big thanks to you all for looking after me during my recovery period. Last but not the least, to my wife who is also an interventional nurse, thank you for the love, support and for watching over me. Thank you Russells Hall Hospital.

Well just managed to book an appointment with my renal doctor, the hospital couldn't be bothered to book me one again. This is the last time. I wont be chasing them again to see anyone, lost all faith it's an absolute shambles.
